Guest ShiDi Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 I'm using the old recovery build RA-hero-v1.2.3 How do i update to the latest carebear version? 1. via fastboot + adb : failed to load after input the 2nd line - adb shell reboot bootloader - fastboot boot recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img 2. flashrec - cant make a backup recovery Is it a must to make a backup recovery image? If i'm unable to make a backup recovey, can i just flash the recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img? Thanks in advance

Easiest way I found, as I couldnt do that method either nor backup in FlashRec was: Reboot into your current Amon Ra recovery image on your phone then connect via USB, then I think you need to type: adb shell $su mount -a flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img Worked for me :) Im assuming you have put the recovery-RA-hero-v1.6.2.img file on the root of your SD Card... Guest ShiDi Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 hmmm i havent tried it with terminal yet.. ok tks for the info.. =) i'm on the 04/Jun - Official HTC 2.1 (3.31.751.1 Chungwa Taiwan) ROM maybe it revoked the su access but im gonna flash the 09/Jun r4 build 3 WIP pre-release & try to flash the recovery img again
Guest ShiDi Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 from terminal do u need to cd.. to cd sdcard or just input su flash_image recovery /sdcard/name-of-recovery.img cos i got error no recovery image found. i put it in the root dir of the sd card
