isnt it able to change the swap block of the acer kernels without the source data?

Swap degrades your experience.

1. It depletes resource of your sd. But no one cares.

2. By default, if RAM needed, then apps are removed from RAM. If they are needed later, they are loaded from ROM. If swap enabled, apps are moved to swap and then loaded from SD (from swap) if needed. The difference? ROM is like 100x time faster then your SD.

Nothing swaps to ROM, apps are simply relaunched.

LMK doesn't take in account swap.

Which means that only really unused memory area will be swapped, a the "halfly used" by apps ones will be killed by the low memory killer.

So swap is useless. It only be somehow useful for apps like qemu and bochs.

Building it is in the plan.

No. If for some reason, some totally useless app isn't killed, it's put in swap, leaving some memory free for apps that are actually used

So you are trying to build it into the next froyo realise?

Done in latest boot.img (see google code's page).

For people wondering how can ramzswap be useful, with LMK, see (right after a boot):

# free

			  total used free shared buffers

  Mem: 149568 146944 2624 0 80

 Swap: 37380 20736 16644

Total: 186948 167680 19268
