GT I-8000 6.1-6.5 Upgrade headache

OK, I have a GT-I8000

PDA I8000DTII4

CSC I8000XSAII2

PHONE I8000XXII5

It's an Australian version and I am having trouble upgrading to 6.5.

I have tried other ROMs on here but the CSC's but none match AUS. I have tried upgrading through Kies and NPS, even the new NPS that's supposed to be compliant with Windows 7 but still loves to freeze up just to s**t me even more.

I have contacted Samsung AUS about the use of ActiveSync (Mobile Device Center) but the won't update the version on their site, which is incompatible with windows 7 also. So the version I have on CD that came with the phone is also useless.

I am quite at my wits end. I am really over 6.1 and have purchased SPB Mobile Shell which is cool, but really want 6.5... because it's there and isn't that why we all want it? :)

So I FINALLY got it to work via NPS :)
