Guest DigitalC Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 Hopefully the new Froyo build will help this! Yea please god ;)
Guest dessire Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 (edited) Hello. I'm not able to connect to my WLAN with this Froyo ROM. I'm using a D-Link DIR-655 router with WPA2 encryption. My next problem is downgrading to r3.1 ROM. How do I do that? "Found a solution. Had to restart several times...." A Edited June 19, 2010 by dessire
Guest drrdave2711 Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Out of the Froyo roms i've tried for the Desire, the seems to be the most stable so far. Though having some issues, as previously stated Bluetooth just doesn't work, tried everything, phone can't see devices and devices can't see phone. Icon still shows as BT is on and services running. This isn't a deal breaker, but it is annoying when just want to send a few files to the phone. The other major issue for me is I can't disable mobile view in the browser, i'm not sure if I'm being stupid, but have looked everrywhere and can't find the option. It has been in every other ROM I've used, including stock. I did upgrade from r3.1 to r17 including full wipe and can send and receive files via bluetooth no worries. I previously tried this ROM without doing full wipe and had other problems such as the phone dialer not working and no contacts app. XDA. Hope this is helpfull. pea's
Guest Muskie Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Hey guys, I was just wondering what I'd need to edit here so I could create a TelstraMod for the 8183s? The /system/customize folder isn't even there anymore! What files in Froyo ROMs hold the data for APNs, Bookmarks, and most importantly, the Useragent? Hoping you guys can help out here. ;)
Guest Barry Bradford Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Hey All ;) Flashed this last night - so far testing going well - havent noticed too much lag on display or anything, display defs chewing the battery (79% as i type this), Market working fine w/ market enabler / wifi's good and havent noticed any echo as yet - Baseband 32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.00_2 Nice work Paul, Looking forward to seeing what the next update brings
Guest CF Chong Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Nice... hope this release fixes some of the issues previous Desire ports have had like the display eating battery, echos and maybe even video recording! Nexus One does not have the echo problem because it has a second mic to work with the noise cancellation feature. The echo in HTC Desire is an effect of the missing second mic. I believe the echo can be resolved if someone can figure out how to disable the noise cancellation feature.
Guest killerost Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Has anyone else got problems controlling the phone with the headphones who came with the phone? I can't skip forward/backwards or answer. Didn't work with MCR3 either. (Never tried with original firmware). Firmware bug or are my headphones messed up?
Guest Orgasmatrond Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Hmm, is it just me, or is the flash only supposed to work on WiFi? Take Zero Punctuation, works like a charm on WiFi, but on 3G, I get an error with something about "stream not found". Tried to change the UA Strings to desktop, but that didn't help. PS: +1 for fakeflash issue, even at approx. 70% battery...

Guest Climbatize Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 This rom works great ;) Got 24h unplugged and still 50% battery left, the display still uses the most (49%). The DeFroST black statusbar 'upgrade' also works nicely on this rom. Awesome, thanks for the tip guy :(
Guest Barry Bradford Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 Awesome, thanks for the tip guy ;) Quick Q re the rom - still running sweetly, however havent been able to find the wireless tethering option, is this something froyo can do? if so where do i find it? Cheers

Guest nekromantik Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 strange, yeah I think u need to re-download the ROM in case it got corrupted and then reflash after a wipe. I would say no wipe but as you are missing a feature a wipe is best option.

Guest Dr_Ash Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 I tried this ROM for 4 days, in the end I went back to MCR 3.1 for three reasons... 1. Scrolling (particularly in the web browser) does not seem smooth at all, it's very juddery 2. Automatic screen brightness is not good - it often does not adjust to bright sunlight and I can't see a thing 3. Battery usage is worse ( a lot ) than in 2.1 Fix these issues and I'm there all the way ;) Andy
Guest Kevin La. Posted June 20, 2010 Report Posted June 20, 2010 (edited) Is the kitchen working properly ? I'm unable to generate a room without WaveSecure. I unchecked it many times and I still get it installed :/ How to remove it manually ? And, where is Spare Parts ? I cannot find it ;) Edited June 20, 2010 by Kevin La.

Screen brightness isn't properly sorted but outdoors it picks up fine. Scrolling is an issue but hopefully when he releases an update 2moro we might get an improvement
Guest WolfspiritM Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I have problems with notifications. The led isn't working correctly for me.
Guest nekromantik Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I have problems with notifications. The led isn't working correctly for me. I noticed that too. Sometimes it stays on even after you get a text. After u get another text it flashes like normal and then goes when you read it.
Guest djide Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 What is the difference between FRF50 and FRF72 and will this rom be updated to FRF72? Thanks
