Fed up with pushing @ratson's market speedup XML manually, so i've now added ASE and a script to this ROM.

Does it run automatically on startup?

No, you run it manually from ASE. You wouldn't want it running on every startup.

Great Rom - just a few issues similar as previously mentioned by others on this thread , but also I get force close when I go settings >sound.

Anyone else have this issue?

Hi Paul,

Any chance of looking at the wifi issue, looks like it might be the froyo build that might be the problem as many users including n1 users are having the problem... If you need me to do anything to help get to the bottom of this...

I understand its nothing to do with your build as it happens on all builds of froyo..

You can add it yourself using the DeFroST mod over at XDA - I've baked it into my ROM now and works fine

I'm currently running r20 and must say it's a great rom.. no hickups so far besides:

- sennheiser cx300 headset (headset with mic) isn't recognized. On stock rom it worked, but on the r20 rom only regular headsets work (not the 3 sections mini-jack the cx300 is using). Could this solved by flashing a different radio?

- I have the feeling the rom has some reception issues, although it could well be Vodafone having a bad day. So I will investigate this further.

Besides the minor hickups it's one of the best ROMs I tried!

You'll still need to wipe data, so Titanium Backup is probably your best option.

So would I just download the file (http://xda.b42.nl/richardtrip/DeFroST_1.6_camcorder_high_res.zip), unzip the file, and then go to the Kitchen, and browse to the /system/ directory as previously unzipped, or do I need the META-INF too?

Or do I just point the "Browse" function in the Kitchen to the above file?

I just copied the contents of the /system/ folder in the ZIP to the ROM and resigned it and it works fine - you could just run the camera ZIP as an update and flash it over what you already have but I prefer to have things baked in (have also got the latest Flash version in mine)

Or, you can use Clockwork recovery / ROM Manager to install the ZIP, and it'll install it over your existing rom.

i noticed something strange in the gallery, after taking a photo i can access it using the icon in the top right-hand corner of the camera app but when i go into gallery there is no folder with the pictures that have been taken using the camera. very odd. so the only way i can see pics that i have taken is by going into cam and accessing the gallery from there.

p.s. i dont like the new gallery app anyways as mine is full of album art and it makes it harder to find the actual pictures amongst all the thumbnails, plus the wasted space storing those thumbnails.

It will be in the gallery when you turn the phone off and on again (have also noticed this)
