Has anyone had any sucess getting contacts copied over from their sim cards, I haven't seen one Froyo build that can do this even though the option is there..keep getting no contacts on sim even though I know they're there

I am not clear whether r17 without default MoDaCo additions is with A2SD or without A2SD I would prefer without A2SD

Market still VERY slow, might have to take a look into that thing to push to the unit (never used ADB before)

what do you mean slow? like waiting few minutes until download something or browsing it?

waited about 10 minutes before downloading, if at all!! now backing up all my apps to bake into a ROM but can't backup one paid-for app (Beautiful widgets)

had it on stock 1.15, stock 1.21, mcr3.1 as well - seems a bug in the market not in the system.

sometimes it works awesome sometimes it don't at all

Suggestion: add a note about partitioning suggestions if using A2SD.

I´d like to set up a "fresh" install with this release incl A2SD, but am somewhat confused with all the APPS2SD, A2SD, EXT2/3/4 talk going round.

(I still use the stock SD).

Great work, Paul. Thanx for all your work. I'm going to use this ROM as my daily one.

P.S. I've made a little theme for it with black notif. bar in stock desire style + dark lockscreen sliders. Theme is in update zip file, but it's not signed, so use ClockWork recovery and do a nandroid first.

quick update:

display uses 48% after first boot (not checked later so far)

no exchange security support

will give more feedback later on

OK, installed the pre-bake with default additions & A2SD.

Everything installed fine & Facebook contacts are syncing correctly.

The LED light bug still exists but that isn't a major problem as if I plug it back in & then unplug it again, it goes away.

For some unknown reason the News & Weather app / widget is unable to download the news / weather, it just says connection error & retires over & over again.

I haven't tried calling anyone yet or sending an MMS but I will update when I do.

Is the A2SD stuff automatic, I can't see a setting to change for it?

Is there a way to set a default for the automatic brightness, this is definitely darker than DeFrost in the same lighting conditions?

Hi,

is this correct ?

1.) i make root, with r6 riskfreeboot, on my Desire HBOOT 0.80

2.) i download the ROM in the kitchen

3.) i boot my Desire in recoverymode

4.) i make wipe data/factory reset

5.) i make wipe cache

6.) i make install zip from sdcard

7.) i choose the kitchenROM

8.) install goes

9.) Desrie reboot

10.) boot hang on at HTC Bootlogo

Genie news and weather is constantly saying "Sorry, unable to connect. Please try later." for me, was working for in DeFrost, maybe i have network problems at the moment, but I can access and download from market ok

Unfortunately, I got the "Error finishing BOOT" issue (boot too large?).

The exact message is:

re: News & Weather widget, I pushed an unaltered 2.1 apk to my Galaxy and ran it and it errors too... so quite possibly a back end issue.
