GPS and WIFI "ON" in sleep mode

hi, i want to use tracking software for a long time, like .. "Glympse" and i want to turn off the screen to save some battery life.

do you know any registry tweak to set the power state for the GPS while the device is in sleep mode ? there most be one ...

and for wifi the same, if i want do download larger files... i want the WIFI always ON... even in sleep mode.

i searched here and on XDA ... bu i could only find settings for HTC, but for samsung NONE..

please help me !
