Guest simoneser Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 I noticed 2 little things: if I disable Data Network, there's the 3G\G icon in notification bar. There is no way to connect USB (i remember that first version of desire rom for nexus one had this problem)

Guest simoneser Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 You have to buy an app from Market called Extended Controls, and enable Mass Storage widget. Or search for some alternatives, search something like Mount USB
Guest simoneser Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) Sorry, double post Edited August 17, 2010 by simoneser
Guest android76 Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Download on the market an app or widget to mount / unmount SD card

Guest akira.pwr Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 (edited) @ akira.pwr ;) ANDROID76 (Vache, too :D) number1! thanks :D Edit: Well, I see a lot of people like this rom and hope vache and/or someone else give a chance to make it better, maybe it will never be perfect, but... why don't try? It's not a real request, we all know devs have a lot to do and a own life, so if you want to do something, we will appreciate. :D Edited August 17, 2010 by akira.pwr

I think devs can delete some apps we can't use, or useless for free some ram. I don't know how much I have free now, but rom itself it's heavy, I think Edited August 17, 2010 by akira.pwr

Guest bais Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 I often heard that Sense ROMs were unstable (many FC) even on Nexus One. I am surprised by how stable this ROM is, there are bugs but none of them make the phone unusable. Here's a list of current problems: -SD Card can't be mounted without a 3rd party app -Camera only takes shots up to 3MP (I remember when vache ported Sense camera app to LiquidE beta bins the same problem appeared, I guess a 3rd party app could fix that one too) -There's an annoying one, if I want to turn off my phone, I have to remove battery, because when I select Power off, the phone doesn't turn off, it just stays on the shutting down the phone screen. -Sense is a RAM eater, if using Sense it's advised to use Autokiller with Optimum preset. If you use LauncherPro then you may not have that problem. This one is kinda obvious, all the HTC phones have a big amount of RAM (288MB for Hero, 384 for Legend, 512 for Desire). -The H or 3G icons stays on Status bar (nothing really bad there)

Guest boostnek9 Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 ok i installed extended control, it's fine, thanks now i'm trying autokiller, to free same ram (only 6megs free now) Why does everyone insist on having free ram? that's like having 1TB free on my hard drive...it does nothing!
Guest akira.pwr Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) Why does everyone insist on having free ram? that's like having 1TB free on my hard drive...it does nothing! We want to free ram because when ram is too low, device become laggy, so it's better to have a little more, don't you agree? I really like this rom, I want to keep more sense elements as possible, so I'll try a task killer (i don't use any in other roms). Vache, it's a good job, even if need some fix. N1. Guest vache Posted August 18, 2010 Report Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) To have more free memory, you can make a bigger ramzswap, wich is 50Mo by default. adb shell # swapoff /dev/block/ramzswap0 # rmmod ramzswap # insmod /modules/ramzswap.ko disksize_kb=102400 # swapon /dev/block/ramzswap0 *(102400=100Mo, you can try bigger or lower values) Edited August 18, 2010 by vache

(I mean connection with data plan, wifi seems to works fine) Edited August 18, 2010 by akira.pwr
