As notified by some of testers, this DLL should only work with Sense ROM because it is HTC driver.

Dear all,

Just want to share with all of you that I've found a solution for the problem "Lockscreen always dim the light". I've attached "Backlight.zip" which contains "backlight.dll" with this post. Just extract it and replace the original one in /Windows and soft reset. Viola!

PS. The only major drawback of this fix is your backlight will not be dimmed anymore. It will always bright all the time. However, this is not my major concern.

Just tried it, actually it freeze my whole cell once the lockscreen goes on and I can't go back without having to reset

PS: Actually, only the screen goes out, I can still close my cell/though any fix to this?

What ROM are you using? I'm using Shadow's JE3 Sense 2.5.2016 RC, 6.5.5 EN Lite.

It happened the same to me. I have 6.5.5 JE3 rom. This file was posted some time ago and so I think it is from older version of windows. If you open the file and compare, it is structured completely different. I believe there is just something specific to change inside to make it work. I can't find any information related to that.

I just looked inside the file. This is for HTC devices, so may cause troubles.

Until now (this discussion is going on for a long time) no one found a solution to this problem, and I'm afraid we won't see it ;). The only possibility would be to somehow change the content of backlight.dll file. But that I believe is impossible.
