Guest starbearer Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 Ok here is goes...I bought omnia 2 this march...and i have actually tried many 6.5 roms......i have noticed something fishy in the screen now....while playing movies, specially the Helicopter.mp4 it lags while playing....now i dont know that if it sounds crazy but it actually does, so i first tried playing it on the touch player(default) then tried on Windows media player but the issue remains regardless of player...i even tried switching off the brightness adjustment and putting the system to high performance but no satisfied results.....issue still remains.....could it be an issue with the rom that i used or voila!!! ;) :( :) the omnia 2 hardware acceleration for video has finally given up........any ideas?????
Guest blaziblade Posted June 23, 2010 Report Posted June 23, 2010 i Dont think its the screen... its due to slow processing speed... Maybe you had too many programs running in the background? When the video lags it means the frames per second "made" by the touch player was not high enough to run the helicopter video smoothly... Try going to task manager and go to processes and see wad is taking up ur memory or RAM and delete it if you think its not important via main storage.
Guest starbearer Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 ok...tried that...thanks for the reply... i tried but no results, same old issue remains...but yes i did forget to mention when i play that video in windows media in the phone its still a bit better...what do you think now? could something be damaged in the hardware of fone?
Guest NuclearEMP Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 flash with a stock rom and see
Guest starbearer Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 sounds nice...but i think im using stock 6.5 rom posted here...anyways il try different rom..could you post the link to the stock one too....maybe im on the wrong one?
Guest Capt.KKK Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 not if you play it in TouchPlayer or the Acer version of CorePlayer, on mine, it went as smooth as you would seen it on any LCD/Plasma panel being shown in shops.
