Guest Borek Bernard Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 I'm after a utility that would work like this: IF application trying to connect AND currently no active connection THEN ..IF WiFi enabled (but not connected) THEN ....try to connect to WiFi and use it ....IF no network in range THEN ask if connect via GPRS/Edge/3G ..IF wifi not enabled ....ask user whether to enable WiFi or use GPRS/Edge/3G ....IF user selects WiFi THEN turn on WiFi and try to use it; if it fails ask if connect via GPRS/Edge/3G The big difference between this and the built-in WinMo behavior is that I would be prompted before each connection, without the need to think about what WinMo settings I currently have (Automatic vs. GPRS), without the need to think whether my WiFi is enabled etc. This would be very useful as connections sometimes come as a surprise - you click somewhere and it opens Opera and oops you're using a roaming data plan if you have WiFi disabled at the moment (I know about NoData but that's another story). Is there something like that?
