i8000L not working in the UK

Hello,

I have an i8000L that I bought in Canada from Bell. It's unlocked and I used it in California on AT&T with no problems.

I am in the UK right now and cannot get it to connect to any service.

Can anyone explain to me why I can't and is there anything to be done?
