Guest Frentraken Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I have a bell O2 in Canada here, and seen some posts about how not updating Eboot and Phone to matching version of PDA rom could cause battery, and other performance issues. But I've also read flashing Phone, or Eboot on a Bell O2 could cause major problems as well so just wondering if there are any safe ones, or tested ones for the Bell version. Thanks.

I have flashed this eboot (and PDA part) JE2 ROM ( 6.5) and this phone part PHONE part exclusively for Omnia I8000L (Americas) and they worked pretty fine for me. ;)

I too am in Canada with my Omnia II on Bell Canada. I have successfully flashed many different ROMS but I only ever did the pda part. I did notice that with some of the newer 6.5.3 ROMS the battery life seemed to be much lower. Last night I flashed a JC4 ROM which is 6.5 and so far my battery life seems better already. Does flashing with a newer phone ROM have a positive effect on things like signal strength and battery power. Best Regards Richard
Guest nipip Posted June 25, 2010 Report Posted June 25, 2010 I flashed ALL four JE3 parts in my i8000L (EBOOT/CSC/PHONE/PDA) without any problem so far. Configuration app ask for automatic band selection or 850+1900 or 900+1900. Device is locked for personal argentina operator. There is a backup of the i8000L phone part posted here if you have doubts.
