Guest Andrea1Liquid Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 @phhusson: what about power consumption? I flashed phhroyo91 yesterday evening and I noticed that the battery goes down very quickly: do you know what's the problem?

Guest Chadski Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 dont use camera and turn off wifi. for me this build save battery same as .39 fw-about 2 days. Phhroyo FRF91 already has camera?
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Phhroyo FRF91 already has camera? It has the camera app, but it doesn't actually work. I'm guessing the problem is that it'll continue to run in the background and drain your battery unless you kill it with a task manager.
Guest phhusson Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Phhroyo FRF91 already has camera? No but you can try to use it, which will make the system drain.
Guest plocri Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 No but you can try to use it, which will make the system drain. dear phhusson are you working on a camera fix? actually i'm using the xian's rom, it's very good, but I'm in love with your froyo release :(

Guest Andrea1Liquid Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 (edited) At 12:43: Thank you tmp_do, but the battery continues to go down too quickly. I didn't open the camera app and I didn't stressed the phone so much to cause such a big drain. I used only the data connection because I have a wonderful data plan (thanks H3G <3). I'm really sorry but the battery drain is so big that I can't use this ROM for everyday use. This, for me, is the unique defect of this ROM: please, phh try to find out how to fix it. When I wrote the previous message the battery was around 60% and, right now, is about 24% with about the same use of Eclair. For now, I don't need the camera and I can live without the Notification LEDS (but I think they are very important). Another fact that's making me revert to Eclair is the broken proximity sensor: is really frustrating to stop the call with the ear. :( At 12:45: 23% Edited July 29, 2010 by Andrea1Liquid
Guest simoneser Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 For the proximity sensor you can do it manually. When approaching the phone to the ear, simply press Power button and phone will become black. When the call is ended, re-press Power button :(

Guest akira.pwr Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Today i've tried to use phhroyo without any task killer, but with setcpu without widget set to 768Mhz, it works perfectly and battery life seems to be better. If someone can try for confirm this.....
Guest bais Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Without taskiller you won't have a fast Froyo for long, there's actually a bug, Froyo doesn't seem to kill any app. I read that phh would fix it in the next release. Until then I use ES Task Manager.

Guest bais Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I gave a try when I first used the ROM, but it ended up lagging and opening apps slowly, and when I killed all the apps it flied again. But anyway, if your phone doesn't lag then that's good for you :(

Until then I use ES Task Manager. It's not a Phroyo trouble, it's a Froyo problem. Most of tasks killer ( Perhaps all?) doesn't support Froyo. TaskSwitcher are in the same case. Try taskOS, you can't kill any app :S
Guest akira.pwr Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 Maybe (this time) I'm lucky, but for sure my device is good without any task killer, better than having it...
Guest roborob Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 i'm coming to the conclusion that the fast drain of battery is due to the use of 3g connectivity. this evening i kept my phone offline and it used only 1% for hour. the same happen when i use the plane mode. the drain of 10% for hour is visible only when internet is on.do you experience the same problem?
Guest akira.pwr Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 (edited) i've make wipe data and dalvik.. I've flashed phroyo91.zip.. I've boot phone and turn off before put pin code.. I've entered in recovery and make nandroid restore.. Phone is working :( Whitout apply patch :( Last night I tried koudelka aosp rom and after restore I had no services again, retried to restore and reboot, but nothing changes, so tried again PHH 1st patch and device had a boot loop. So, thx to davidevinavil, tried to wipe data factor and dalvik, flash froyo (doing account login), restore. Now it works and have everything like before. @roborob: today I try to use only 2g to see battery drain, but my liquid don't eat battery like you anyway. @phhusson: the froyo in first post is the same frf91 you posted at the beginning? About oc880 undervolted, it means i can have a little oc with less battery drain than stock? EDIT: Unbelievable, I've just flashed .39 bin, flashed phhroyo, after connected with my account, it restore automatically from market every apps, I don't use titanium, it do it itself... It's normal? Edited July 30, 2010 by akira.pwr
Guest akira.pwr Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 maybe you didn't wipe...?? I've done all wipes and flashed a new bin too, someone told me It's a feature of froyo to synchronize apps with Google, but I don't know what is it
