I dont know if im the only one but anyways. My omnia 2 seems to be laggy when playing games such as krazy kart racing, ivy the kiwi or experiment 13. Anyone else is expecting lag, i looked on youtube for gameplay videos and mine is definitely lagging. Is there a way to solve the problem? thanks

You need more Program RAM space available.. Better flash your ROM. Original ROM sure is laggy even with simple interface.

It is because Omnia II has NOT a good 3D driver (something like OpenGL ES). The only way is to over-clock your Omnia II in order to get the 3D smoother...

I think you may have too many active ram-eating apps.... dunno about ivy the kiwi (lol I don't even know it), but I have a stock rom and both krazy karts and experiment 13 run 100% smooth on my O2

May I ask you what is the definition of SMOOTH? 15fps?

krazy karts always ran slow for me even using tw2 lite ROM its just the game, people may think its 100% smooth when it really laggy because they have never seen smooth. I remember trying to do turns in that games where so hard and choppy. It was the only game that lagged, resco snake/bubble run fine, spaceball runs fine gutiar hero is a bit slow but it could very well be how the game is designed same with karzy karts.

Play music with s2p and playing a game you will notice lag and slowness yet touch player will run fine with games, but who uses touch player? That is the only let down you can't game and listen to music, even the craptastic iphone can do that and its slower then the o2. Total let down.

lol I'm not a machine, I don't "think" in numbers :D

Never tried to measure the fps, nor I care about it that much.... it just runs smooth, I don't see any lag, choppy movements, bad response to commands and so on... it is just "smooth" and that's more than enough for me

If I compare it with the couple videos I saw about the game on youtube I can't notice any difference in how it's running... that's my "personal" definition of "smooth" :D

EDIT: forgot to mention... dunno if it may be affected by this, but I have ginkage 3d drivers on my device, installed them a while ago for other purposes but maybe they could have effect on the game too?

Krazy Kart is never slow on my O2 and I use and flash only stock roms (only tried a lite rom once and am tempted to try out G.C Sense ultra lite). And I don't run Chainfire Fpt app nor do I overclock the cpu (I tried it once but it wasn't very stable). however I do have chianfire OpenGL ES driver installed on my O2 and it's still very smooth (experience is better on O2 for the same game than it is running on Acer Neotouch which has a snapdragon processor).

The only real problem I have is that the G-sensor is way too sensitive to be able to have any decent control over the kart.

hmm ya, i tried them and its still lagging, should i remove spb mobile shell?

uhm, I don't think mobile shell affects it (I have mobile shell too), unless your free ram is really low... maybe you can try just quitting mobile shell without uninstalling it and see if it gets any better (but I don't really think it will)

a stock ROM is a ROM (Winmo OS + w/e apps) that comes pre installed, and usually comes with bloatware that you will never use. A custom ROM is a strip down version with a few apps included or no apps depending on the cooker (ROM creator)
