@piter1225 Could you double check your ramdisk in the stock overclock boot.imgs? It seems that they're missing tun.ko in /modules and the script to update dhd.ko in /etc/wifi. WiFi isn't working with your boot.imgs...

Thanks

Ok I'm back, got some goodies from phh for 1.100.15 bin

http://www.mediafire.com/?ylt1mn2gny5

Includes:

920MHz + ramzswap + TS fix + SVS

and

998MHz @ 1.3V + static voltage scaling + ramzswap + TS fix

To: Pitter, I flashed boot-920.img(SVS+TS+ramzswap), when I open WIFI in Settings, the device is rebooting over and over again, can not normally enter the system. Xian says some files not in you img file. check it pls~~

sorry for my poor english.

I use 920 atm, and also use WiFi everyday (it works), I can record a video-proof for you I you don't belive me, lol

The only change I did in ramdisk is replacing boot image

Could Pphusson or Piter1225 make a small instruction on how to (cross) compile the kernel and make an update.zip for a certain ROM? I'd like to experiment and maybe contribute (esp. for LCR 1.6) but am clutching at straws when it comes to compiling for Android. I know how to (and regularly do) compile the Linux kernel for my desktop PC so I have all development tools (and background knowledge) in place.

I also get the reboot problem when enable the WIFI.....

in a Taiwan forum(mobile01.com) also have some user get this problem....

What exactly is the difference between the 998MHz images? 1.3v is higher than usual?

What frequence is that one on? If it's 880MHz = me happy

If not, then I'm not man enough to use it

It's written in the introduction :D

-880Mhz @ 1.25V (or other freqs if specified))

Oh, totally missed that part:P

Thanks, and just to make it even clearer; I just have to reboot to recovery, apply zip (like I did for LCR1.7+1.6) and then reboot?

I'm kinda new to this, so I just wanna make things clear before I try, I've already badword up this phone once and spent 5-6h to fix it.. :D

Sorry if this was covered in a post somewhere that I didn't see, but what are "ramzswap" and "TS fix" (and i think there's one more difference) that are found in the newer custom kernels? I'm running the original 920 and it works great. Just wondering if it's worth the trouble to switch.

Must I flash your mod_100.15 update?

Do not know if you tried to flashed OC kernel in 1.100.15.FET original ROM?

Thank you for your advising ! :D

How will patch for LCR 1,6 -880Mhz @ 1.25V impact on original LCR 1.6? Is it much faster or whats the pros and cons?

ramzswap is compressing some area of the memory

TS fix is the multitouch workaround I coded at some point, it enhance a bit multitouch. I'd say it's mostly useless, but well.

SVS = Static Voltage Scaling, means that the voltage on the CPU changes depending on the frequency. (Without it, it's constant, I think @1.25V, but I'm not so sure), this should help battery life a lot, for low cpu consumption activites (like listening to music or reading ebooks).

I'd say it's the best thing since sliced bread! My LCR 1.6 Liquid is now as Liquid as can be. I also upgraded setCPU to 2.0.0c at the same time to make use of the autodetect settings, so that *may* have additional benefits but I doubt it.

Hmm when selecting Acer Liquid as device in SetCPU then max speed will be 768. I have to use Nexus One to get 886mhz. Is this correct?

Does SetCPU need to run in background or can i kill it using task manager?

What is so great?

How about battery time?

I use JuiceDefender/UltimateJuice so I never complain about battery life anymore... daily use (1 hour 2G online, listening to music and a couple of calls) 2 days.

And that's *with* SuperMario live wallpaper!
