windows booting from the sdcard?

Hi all,

I just saw this on this website while searching something else but this turned out more important.

Is it, that we can boot windows from sdcard...if we could then we can easily have enormous space in the phone to work faaaaaaaaaasssst!!! lol

hmmm there might be a issue that if we do select the sdcard for it, it might run windows slow...i think im wrong on this...... :lol:

nope. you got it wrong. Windows CE will only boot from NAND FLASH memory. It's similar to bios from PC. With other OS it may work(linux, android), but not with windows.If you want more space, just flash an UL rom and that's it.

I don't think it's possible to have Omnia or any mobile device to boot windows from sd card. This feature is meant for other devices. That board may be used for an omnia 1, but it will not boot from sd card. Windows CE doesn't allow that.
