Downloaded the 21 version last night and installed, no difference at all as far as I can see although some aps are running really slow, swype is hardly running at all not sure if its connected though or another problem.

Im having to type manually and watching the words catch up on screen about 3/5 seconds later, not downloaded any aps or anything for a couple of days not sure whats causing it only started today though.

Edit; Just to add, i've turned off swype and everythings running fast as ever if not faster, seems its something to do with swype

For me swipe has been getting slower and slower over the last few days. After the flash it was almost impossible to use. It is beta i guess.. Might try a different version, there are lots floating around.

I've been trying to install 4399, renamed it to Update.pkg, reboot whilst holding the volume controls and chose software update via Update.pkg, but it just jumps to the ClockWorkMod recovery screen with an error E:Can't find MISC: - what am I missing?

Same problem here

You need to reflash the stock recovery, or use my custom ROM. I'll post the stock recovery up when I get a chance.

Thanks, I'm downloading your custom ROM now so hopefully that will work. Does it need to be renamed to Update.pkg on the SD card please?

To answer my own question - it needs to be named Update.zip, and it worked fine, thanks.

Me too - Updated to 4399 yesterday.

Does your contacts application work? Mine keeps crashing on both builds. Also doesnt sync contacts with Google.

Can anyone confirm this? This is a deal breaker for me...

Seems fine for me. Haven't noticed any problems since the upgrade.

Things that have improved for me with this build

Touchscreen does not freeze anymore, I used to have to press the power button to kick it to life.

Automatic backlight seems to respond better, again had to tap screen or wait a few seconds for it react.

I just updated my streak from shop shipped version to 4399.

It worked using the: power off, power on holding both volume buttons, select 'Update.pkg' from sim method.

It did however wipe all my data (as it said it would) this was the 21 file linked from the front page.

All seems good - luckily all the contacts are sync'd and i took pictures of all my apps i had installed so should be able to re install them all ok (4 pages)

i hate to say it but some kind of itunes app sync tool would be awesome...

The normal system menus (white text on a black background) have an orange hover state.

I swear it didn't look like this before. I thought it just inverted the colours.

no idea otherwise, certainly nothing concrete.

Hmm I think pinch zoom on the photos seems to go in a lot further than it did, although it still says 200% the actual navigation preview area seems much smaller

I hate to burst your bubbles but the stock build has the orange hover on the settings menu and the photo zoom obviously is dependant on the size of the photo.
