Guest Phantom75 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 How can I enable wifi 802.11g in my Omnia2 without using SKTools? Is there any registry tweak to do that?
Guest ED2O9 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I think this is what you're looking for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306840
Guest Phantom75 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 I think this is what you're looking for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=306840 Yeah, I have seen that already, but I don't know if this HTC tweak is going to work with an Omnia2. Have you tested it?
Guest ED2O9 Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 It applied the same registry change that SKTools did (change the string from 4 to 8), so it should work.
Guest Phantom75 Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 Sorry, this is not applicable for my Omnia2. Those keys don't exist in the registry.
Guest cengaver83 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Is there answer for this question? How can we enable 802/11g for Omnia 2?
Guest kkaite2modaco Posted September 11, 2010 Report Posted September 11, 2010 still newbie here :P but I thought if the registry key is not there; you can just create the key.
Guest ropiana Posted September 15, 2010 Report Posted September 15, 2010 Hi, I already change the registry from 4 to 8 and soft reset the fon. i dont see any changes in the connection. I think it even makes the pages load slower.
Guest x2h Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 isn't 802.11g already enabled in omnia2 by default?
Guest ray1234 Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 isn't 802.11g already enabled in omnia2 by default? I thought so as well. I never enabled anything and my wifi internet download speed is already 1MB/s or 8Mbps, I would think that is in the 802.11g territory.
Guest sinancetinkaya Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) 802.11g is already enabled on omnia 2, otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect 802.11g wireless networks Edited September 16, 2010 by sinancetinkaya
