Guest TheMrMay Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) I am in the process of rooting my friend's G2 Touch. You may have seen my earlier post: http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-hero...obile-g2-touch/ However, I have now got Android SDK working, and the PC recognizes the phone. As I speak, the G2 is getting flashed with a new ROM (the one I needed to downgrade to to root, from an RUU .exe file). The process that apparently takes '10 minutes' has taken over half an hour. I'm a patient guy, I'll wait a bit more... Or should I just pull the cable out? Help ASAP please! Now what do I do!? Edited July 2, 2010 by TheMrMay

Guest TheMrMay Posted July 3, 2010 Report Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) Don't pull out the cable and what are you flashing the RUU or the .zip It said update failed in the end, and the G2 simply rebooted. A lucky escape! I am trying to flash the RUU, the downgrading part of rooting the G2. I'll try again later, would a different RUU help? RESOLVED: WIPED AND REFLASHED USING VISTA.
