What are you basing this on? Have you seen the polish on all the iPhones? I've never seen it lag ever while my Liquid lags occasionally and know the iP4 has sick hardware there's nothing holding me back from it. The previous iP's got pwned by other phone's hardware wise, but the iP4 is insanely good.

Maybe fourth iPhone is good, I did not see it yet, but others lag like insane. I'm developing mobile games and use these devices a lot. Scrolling apps on Liquid with LaucnherPro is a breeze. iPhone? LAGS!

i had an ipod touch in the past and many of my friends got an iphone.

first of all my ipod was quiet smooth but if you gonna play bigger games it gets slower and lags sometime closing and opening apps...

in addition to this if you gonna jailbreak it it gets realy slower and lags often^^

( did your rootet phone get slower;?!)

important is also that the iphone 3g used the same hardware as the ipod touch 2g!!?! am i right...

and if i see an iphone 3g or 3gs it dowsnt lag but loads quite a bit until opening some apps you just see a "cute" animation until waiting and not just a black screen this makes you feel the phone is faster...

Never be a Nexus 2 or a follow-up (of any kind) by December 2010 or Ever?

Good point on the HTC Hero, it's out now though isn't it? I don't know when HTC officially said it's getting an update, would be interested to know the timeframe between announcing it and it being delivered.

I have to say one thing... In the last few days, the Australian website has started including the "Liquid E" phone to the smart handhelds sections of the drivers and downloads sections... All be it that there is no OS to download under the Download tab

but no ROM inside it...

Acer did not release the base rom of the liquid, just an upgrade, right ?

Without the battery consumption problem (among others) they might never have released any rom...

Why would they release the base rom of the liquidE if they don't plan to make it available for liquid ?

(and why would they plan to make it available for liquid if they want to sell their liquidE ?)

Acer is not altogheter that bad.. Official Eclair is up and available, some leaks were available months ago.. my liquid still looks as a good deal!
