Hi ya all,

I'm new in all this although I've been reading this forum eversince I got my Omnia.

I enjoy the phone AND the software by Samsung but it got too laggy...

My Device:

PDA: I8000NXXII9 - Really old winmo 6.5 ROM

Here's what kind of advice i need: I want to update to the LATEST Official Samsung Rom that has all the features and programes (the widget today screen, touch player, memo, schedule, etc.) as my old one but I hope that the 6.5.3 will be less laggy and with more free Program RAM...

So I'm wondering if the latest official rom will please my needs or it's better to use some custom rom that preserves all the dafault features i like...

Also is there something i should do to save my data before flashing/updating

(I made a backup using the New PC Studio but I'm not sure if that saved all my edited contacts, Anniversary Dates, ...)

PS: I've made some widgets of my own - some are fun, some even usefull . Will post them soon I hope all Widget lovers will like them.

I'm good with graphics and ideas but it'll be awesome if someone could help me with some scripting...

Well that's all. I'd really appreciate it if someone helps a newbie like me!

10x in advance!

10x a lot, but why do you prefer 6.5 is it faster or does it have any other advantages ?

I think, because the 6.5.3 have some changes in design (eg "Start" button is on the bottom of the screen and looks different)

Look here:
