Guest amdzero Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Well June has come and gone, with no official update from samsung. And while I don't know how to develop drivers for WinMo, I can cook roms. So seeing as Samsung has neglected us i920 users, I thought I would release a new ROM. This is my impression of what Samsung should have released initially. Notes: There are no custom icons, nor branding. The load screen has not been changed, so it will look stock. Samsung Widgets is installed, but not set as the default today plugin. Titanium is the default. I have taken JinBox from i8000 and cooked it into this rom as well. I know that some will not like this so I didn't put it as the default sms/mms viewer. There are two seperate icons in the start menu. Version 1.1 Changes Cooked the rom for bettery memory management. Added Dialer Switcher Changed end call hold button to just shutdown the phone instead of ask Added splugins to titanium (only a few) Added new GPS i8000 drivers - Thanks Steel! Updated the Samsung sdk to v2.2 fixed Windows Media loading error changed the default calculator to point to powercalc Version 1.0 Removed: Cube Dice Facebook MS Live vzw MobileEmail vzw MobileIM vzw Music on demand vzw Video on demand vzw Visual Voice mail vzw Song ID vzw Navigator Splugins Opera 9.7 Video Editor Added: Crayon Physics Asphalt4 JinBox Midomi Updated Touchplayer DB_TPlayer (used for changing the folders of Touchplayer. Use touchplayer first) MS MyPhone Samsung SDK 2.0 Download Latest ZeroStock v1.1 Archived ZeroStock v1.0 ---------------------------- If you like my work, drop a thank you. If you want do buy me a beer: Edited August 1, 2010 by amdzero
Guest Steel Reign Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Nice bro! Good to see someone finally answer the call for a stock rom! Edited July 7, 2010 by Steel Reign
Guest donaudette Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 so, does this include the large page pool? .net 3.5? some of those basic building blocks?
Guest xlightwaverx Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Nice. Just seeing that alarm clock gets me excited. does the i920 have any benefit from using sdk2.2 since that is now out? I will flash when I get home. looks great. so, does this include the large page pool? .net 3.5? some of those basic building blocks?

I've found no need to upgrade. .net 3.5 is built into the rom as it is 6.5.5 the pagepool is actually changed to 12MB. Try it out and see for yourselves.
Guest amdzero Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 No need for me to cook now. well that wasn't my intention. You can still make a stock rom!
Guest Shemmy Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 well that wasn't my intention. You can still make a stock rom! Eh, saves me the headache :)
Guest jbr05ki Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 nice! The O2 shoulda shipped like this. Question: Can you set the touch player to just read the Music folder in My Storage or does it read the ringtones too?
Guest unchoney Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Now just when i was getting settled in to your sense rom you come out with another! Going to flash this tonite when i get home. Do you think the stock rom will run faster with sclock? I flashed back to dc23 original and installed sclock did not seem to make any difference but maybe it only runs with 6.5.5 ? edit: Still interested in trying to cook but need help. Guest Ninja4Hire Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Eh, saves me the headache :) I don't like your attitude mister! What about a MaxSense rom or a stock with no widgets rom. you can just make what you want, and cook the stuff you want into it.
Guest the sandman Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Very nice rom. I might keep this until a newer version of your sense rom comes out. Everything is working very well with it so far, I'm just too lazy to customize this one right now lol Question though: this probably isn't possible, but is there any way to make the new SMS app (jinbox) open when you click on the text tab in Titanium?
Guest xlightwaverx Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 What's new in Samsung Windows Mobile SDK 2.2.0: Adds support for the following phones running Windows Mobile 6.5: · SCH-M710/715 T*Omnia II · SPH-M7350 Oz Omnia Ya, we should be all set for the i920. Though SDK 1.2.0 lets you use the front camera, which is odd. sdk 2.2 no, I don't have it. what does it have that 2.0 doesn't? Guest nvrmind Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Unfortunately, SSDK 2.1 doesn't have a list of what's changed, however, Pocketshield Proximity works with 2.1 but not with 2.0. Not a huge deal, as you can just throw it on from the cab.
Guest xlightwaverx Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Areas that need "to be looked at" :D I'll start a list going :) *Yes and No Dialog boxes are black on black. Unable to see. *Did you make the graphics for the grey buttons? (i.e. My Contacts), do you think the original Samsung (just plain soft key text) would be better fitting? What's new in Samsung Windows Mobile SDK 2.2.0: Adds support for the following phones running Windows Mobile 6.5: · SCH-M710/715 T*Omnia II · SPH-M7350 Oz Omnia Ya, we should be all set for the i920.
