I don't know what just happened, but I just baked and flashed a ROM and everything is messed up. i.e. I have a whole bunch of missing icons, most of my apps are gone and it's as if some of the options I selected never took effect. for example, I did NOT include Amazon MP3 yet it's there and, presumably, my Apps2SD+ didn't get added, either.

I'm going to rebake and try again, once I flash the backup I made.

EDIT: Or, I would if it didn't keep saying that the "package file" for ROM manager was invalid. Off to recovery I go!

Paul just updated 30 minutes ago or so.

I went back to Nandroid then flashed the latest with Paul's quick fixing of A2SD and this time i did not need any whipes coming from R4-Nandroid.

Dutch Is in the Locale list for that earlier post.

how does this relate to my post?

Market installs were fine here.

I tested because I removed UserDictionaryProvider.odex (Using Smart Keyboard Pro from A2SD myself).

But I had to re-install Smart Keyboard Pro to get Input Selection backup.

how does this relate to my post?

Because you where mentioning very similar i had with the first release of the Kitchen when A2SD wasn't done correctly, and the release after that fixed it. (Except for the Not Rooted Thing that was mentally blocked for me as i haven't seen this mistake yet in this thread.

I ASSumed you where coming from a R4 or R3.1 not from an Unrooted Device!

That was plain not smart.

>> >> Try Flashing back the Stock official RUU for your device.

Then first do the rooting method in stickies and after that get Fake Flash Setup on your SD card.

PS: for who cares I also removed com.htc.rss.jar from resources, didn't see where that would come in handy without having HTC News installed.

Thanks again for your Quick Efforts Paul. (You had me sweating just a little bit because it's still hot round here)

I should learn how to get the Log file...

Seems to be not an market issue, it downloads fine, just installing fails. Installing apk's from SD fails also. Will try a reflash w/ wipe.

Let us know how it goes after a wipe. Will tell us if we should wait for a further fix, or just plain wipe

When I go through my gallery, my pictures are sort of "out of focus" if I don't zoom in...

Anyone have the same issue? (not sure, but it seems it's not every time)

Same problem here with apps from the Market, tried A2SD+, A2SD and no A2SD, all give the same error, installation unsuccessful.

I managed to install Rom Manager once in the non A2SD version then nothing else would install.

Did a complete wipe every time, going back to R4.

Also saw some funny graphical glitches, superuser access granted messages on screen for ages, corrupted icons etc.

I have installed 8 programs from Market as of now. No problems so far.

I did not use the market speedup script.

What exactly is better about the 2.06? I'm in doubt about if I want to mess up my perfect MCR r4 install

I have downloaded a bake of r5, but I am going to wait and see if the kinks / bugs get ironed out first.

Top job though Paul

sorry i was not clear: i was simply saying that i've been waiting for r5, and now that's out, i cannot use it

i know i've to root, but my phone is going to return to htc... it was stuck at boot, on green htc logo... i was able to go to fastboot, then have phone recognized by pc, and used official RUU 1.21 to have it both "virgin" and updated, as RUU 1.15 was my starting point and hoping at least with 1.21 my bootloop was gone... successfully done ruu, rebooted, going through initial setup, it sees my wifi network, i was entering my password and badabum, reboot... DAMN! :D

Aah man weird. But in that case good you could at least restore a bit. They dont like Roots and Mods that much at HTC returns.

Weird things here  After full wipe and reflash first i tried was installing apps from Market. Worked fine. After that i used Titanium Backup... and this is where the fun began...

First that 'have no root' thingy, then restarted Ti Backup... root ok... then tried to restore missing apps + data .. failed. From that point on Market installs failed again, too.

Seems Ti Backup is messing things up here.

Goin' back to r4 until chief paul is around doing his magic :D

I got some problems just by installing Titanium Backup. I did not have to launch it for the problems to begin.

Got the message about titanium root granted bla bla...

Uninstalled Titanium Backup and everything works again. I have installed all my apps except for Titanium Backup and Sky view that fails install.

I am a app junkie and i have installed like 40 apps and i still has 114MB free. Seems like A2SD+ works.
