tried the new 16/jul r5 WIP with r5 kernel and after r4 kernel and still cant move apps to sd... i use native froyo a2sd , i also used mod install location and set it to external but that didn't help.

i red over at xda that the new kernel is cusing this... so if anyone knows the solution please share

thanks Paul for your great rom, hope to see optical trackpad wake option soon :D

are you sure the apps are froyo compatible. Unless the app has been enabled for apps2sd (froyo native) then you wont be able to move them across and sadly many apps havent been updated yet

You can actually force-move the app (unless its a widget) to SD using the standard google apps2sd. Settings->Applications->Manage Applications. Under the all tab, you can select an app and then hit the "Move to SD" button.

I still prefer the old school a2sd. Much cleaner, and you can move everything to SD.

true... but with r4 i moved asphalt 5 ,Dungeon hunter, documents to go and a lot of others and they worked...and with r5 i can't move them... the option is not greye dout but when i hit "move to sd" i get a message "failed to move application"

I thought at first it was the 2.06 kernel, but now I am not sure, I rolled back to the previous kernel and still get the move2sd error.

All though it could be a permission in the ramdisc init's, not gone through those yet.

I am trying a few more thing's too, just hope HTC sort all this before final release, the 2.2 sense is that good already it's almost tempting to not root

@Paul

Could you maybe somehow Patch the Original Froyo Launcher, so that a click on the Phone-Button opens the HTC Phone Application?

At the moment it just says, that the application is not installed on the phone (probably it wants to launch the stock Phone-app).

I already did look toward the start of this thread.

Google Sky Map installed while MMC is mounted.

It's not the kernel or ram disc, it's /system/bin/vold not detecting a valid FAT32 format on the MMC.

I've attached a test file, flash in recovery, clear cache.

Failed to install Sky Map here. ;)

Couple of observations with latest rom. Market is working now although I get the same issue as everyone else with Google sky map.

I also get graphical glitches when using Rom manager.

Finally the screen timeout doesn't seem too kick in when left alone. So it sits there with the screen "on" not going blank after a minute (as its set too) unless I press the power button.

I wish there was a way around the android lock-screen and htc alarm bug

Thats not a bug, its build this way

From an older Post:

"inside the HTC clock app there is under the alarm setting page a 'Side button behavior' section. I've set mine to dismiss now."

This way you can turn off alarm by pressing volume button ... works fine.

Ok, Paul, anybody? I've posted 3 times so far & not one response! Can someone please tell me if this ROM (Froyo) supports HTML email? It doesn't appear to no matter how I try & setup exchange?

My apologies if this is a well known fact or otherwise? I installed R3.1 back & the HTML email works, I can't help but feel ignored?

When no one replies they might not face this issue. Here HTML email works as usual .

And here's a patched version of AdFree that *should* work with this ROM (not had a chance to test it)... uninstall existing version if present before installing this one!

DOWNLOAD: http://content.modaco.net/dropzone/com.big...roid.adfree.apk

P

there are some FCs but in general it's working even on defrost and opendesire roms. big thanx as always Paul! (used good old desire adfree helper for installation on froyo)
