Guest corsin Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 try this, found somewhere on one of the forum i read these days ;-) http://10x9.com/xh well, that thing is mine, but was actually backported from the android 2.2 to work on 2.1 devices. not sure if this works well on 2.2. But you could just checkout the git for 2.2 and compile it for yourself.
Guest martiN.e Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Loving this. Feels good to be back and running on MCR =) :) Have been running it since last night and only thing I noticed was after a full charge the light was still yellow/orange. Turned phone off/on again and it turned green. Minor thing I know, just havent seen that on my Hero (lots of different roms) or the various roms I tried on Desire. EDIT: Can't reproduce this error apparantly =) Edited July 10, 2010 by martiN.e
Guest quentin2 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Here my experiences... Just updated over r21 - worked, but when starting up, media and mms process always crashed on boot. Also loading of Loader took ages. Titanium Backup complained about getting no root. So finally I wiped the partitions and installed from scratch - worked fine. But: - some of my apps got lost... I entered Market and those could not be found again... e.g. Pure Calender, Steel Shot, ... - so Market prop seems (for me) not 100% - APN for O2 Germany missing, yes - My Location for weather widget does not correctly work - ack So for now I revert back to my old r21 and wait for the fixes :) q2.
Guest klutsh Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Quick fix for missing APN's I've taken this apns-conf.xml from DJDroid v1 extract it from the zip reboot your phone into recovery choose wipe cache load up clockwork or whatever recovery you use mount the /system partition then push xml to /system/etc adb push apns-conf.xml /system/etc/ reboot phone goto settings > wireless & networks > mobile networks > access point names press menu and then restore defaults.apns_conf.zip
Guest Vulpix Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Am I the only one unable to link facebook profiles to contacts? Whenever I try to click on "Gallery" for a contact, and click on Link Facebook Profile, there is nothing on it. I already linked my facebook account, what gives?
Guest Noonski Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 could you share your baked rom or tell me how to remove sense? i love r21 style with launcher pro I see you have Add Freee Account. Here's the options i SELECTED. Live WallPaper, YoutTube, App Sharing, Calculator, Flashlight, FM Radio, HTC IME & A2SD+. Just deselect the rest. and add the BuilProp from a few pages back to the personal zip upload option. I'll set up another lightweight bake for non Add Freeers and post it here then if there's people interested.
Guest Noonski Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Flashed the new rom And my phone application is not installed? HELP Go back into recovery and whipe then reboot.
Guest Noonski Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Just installed with no wipe on top of r21 and got Force Close on nearly every app. Did a wipe and reinstalled and all is well, even Google Goggles appears to be working which it didn't on r21. Only thing I'm missing is a working version of the Nexus One 3D Gallery. I've installed the apk, but it FCs everytime. Thanks again Paul (and everyone else involved) for your work here. Look for the Flikie 3D gallery. - some of my apps got lost... I entered Market and those could not be found again... e.g. Pure Calender, Steel Shot, ... - so Market prop seems (for me) not 100% q2. Check a few pages back for market Fix. Edited July 10, 2010 by Noonski
Guest EmDzej Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Is it placebo effect or battery life with this rom/radio is better? Playing with it since yesterday's evening and still over 25% left :)

Whenever I try to click on "Gallery" for a contact, and click on Link Facebook Profile, there is nothing on it. I already linked my facebook account, what gives? this happened to me but i went back to a bake i had done an hour before and it was workin so the bug must have come from one of the changes made
Guest Noonski Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Is it placebo effect or battery life with this rom/radio is better? Playing with it since yesterday's evening and still over 25% left :) Nope it does seem better at the moment compared to MCR3.1 and R21FRF91.

FANTASTIC! thanks. Any chance you could do the same with the 'Location' error?
Guest klutsh Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 FANTASTIC! thanks. Any chance you could do the same with the 'Location' error? if I knew what was causing it. lol
Guest cray1000 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 i have a few questions, 1) Is this based on the version of 2.2 w/ sense that was in italian? 2) was that a lleak? or was this built some how using 2.1 sense and 2.2 os? 3) would it be possible to port this to the incredible? i have heard they are almost the same, i guess only the radio code is different? could one of us do this or must it be done by you? i would love to get 2.2 with sense on my incredible!

I guess both roms has the same base. It's a leak in my opinion as the HTC's apps are a bit different from those in 2.1. Messeging is redesigned a bit for example.
Guest FatherD Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Don't be so bloody rude.. let the man have his weekend! Have patience 'glasshoppers' There is the British Grand Prix on .. and some football final thingy .. have a heart the man is English! :) Edited July 10, 2010 by FatherD
Guest hatton920 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 Is there any chance of adding the standard contacts and dialer app to this rom? I much prefer these than the sense versions.
Guest Noonski Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 (edited) Paul disabling HTC IME does not remove it from the Bake. Same goes for Removing HTC Sync, it's still in the bake after disabling. Boot sound option is working this time as opposed to MCR3.1 bakes. Edited July 10, 2010 by Noonski
Guest laserman123 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 if I knew what was causing it. lol I compared the HtcLocationPicker.apk and HtcLocationService.apk from system/app of DjDroid rom and they are diffrent size? Might be worth a try.
Guest EmDzej Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 FYI Seems that HTC Music isn't working with BT headset: music plays but no option to control it. Just installed "stock" froyo music player taken from defrost rom and it works :)

Might be worth a try. They will be a different size as Paul has odex'd the APK's. I did push the un odex'd apk's though, but it still fails.
