Guest Simon O Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 eh? the spica has a capacitive screen, though it's not a very good one, in my view. mainly for texting, though that could be due to samsung's keyboard. anyway, there's nothing wrong with a GOOD resistive screen - resistive is more accurate than capacitive. just because a display may be capacitive, doesn't mean it's going to be a good display. and speckles, the pulse's resolution is indeed 320 x 480 - i'd never buy a phone with a 3.5" screen that has a qvga resolution :D The pulse has a nice screen. 320x480 Samsung LCD ;) and it's capacitive so you can use the screen with a sausage or a banana as some people found out in another thread
Guest JimJam707 Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Ok guys, I just ordered the i7500. It's on its way hopefully. I'll still be checking here though. So. Yeah.

Yeah. when I got my pulse in the end of january i had an option to get spica but chose pulse over spica because there were so many problems reported with it. I dont remember details, but maybe someone can tell how is spica practically comparing with pulse? the price is the same I believe, and cpu/ram I think was the same.

Much smoother, etc.

Honestly your sisters must be faulty ;) My mothers Spica can multitask every app installed on the phone with a nice 40mb ram to spare, loading most apps are instant with no waiting and with multitasking they open even faster :D Put it this way, when you press to open the dialer it opens instantly, setting instantly and widgets instantly  Imo The Spica owns the pulse in every way apart from the screen. But then again the 3.2 screen makes the phone alot easier to hold comfortably
Guest onawall Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 If Huawei make this phone for TMobile and TMobile aren't releasing it any more then hopefully that will free Huawei to release unbranded updates for it without going through TM. Or maybe they'll just abandon the phone altogether.

If someone said to Huawei "We'll buy 10,000 of these phones if you make a Android 2.2 release" then you can pretty much guarantee they'll do it. Otherwise, the chance is very slim.
