i920 not going to sleep

My verizon i920 has started to not going to sleep no matter how long it is not used. I have to manually press the lock button to get the phone screen to shut off. So right now the screen just dims out, but never goes completely off if I don't do it manually. Is there a way to fix this?

This problem seemed to have started after I tried installing the mobile wifi router app from xda. That app did not work on my phone so I uninstalled it, but yet the phone still does not go to sleep.

The only time I experienced this is when I updated my rom without updating the eboot. Have you done an update recently?

Yeah I did the rom update from the samsung website.

I do not like the new update at all. Is there a way I can go back to the previous rom?
