Guest joshlusignan Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Thanks for the work Paul! Much appreciated. My findings: Battery life is horrendous like others have mentioned. Dropped over 50% in 2 years after first installing and reinstalling apps... I dont know about you but if my battery dropped to 50% over 2 YEARS I would be so fn excited!!! lol Seriously battery is pretty good for me....Ive only dropped 10% in 4 hours with little use tho, not bad. This ROM is a daily runner for me know, looking forward to the little fixes. Thanks Paul!
Guest bewA Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Paul or anyone that knows, is there a refresh coming?

No, I'm using the kernel it came with. I wasn't sure if it was a radio or wifi issue, so I wanted to see if anyone had the same problem. What kernel are you using?

Guest durtyjoe Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 People who are having problems with speech input and output ( maybe its set up for British) then go to settings , voice input/output and change everything to English (united states)

That's probably what it is, I didn't check the radio option. I'll give that a try.
Guest yajo Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) anyone else having issues with saving contacts? i'm completely unable to edit/add contacts.. force close. and the kitchen doesn't seem to be loading for me still.. :/ Edited July 20, 2010 by yajo

Guest MidnightSlide Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 (edited) Would anyone please bake me one of these bad boys from the kitchen? I'd love to try it out, and unfortunately can't afford to donate at the moment. It'd be greatly appreciated. Everything standard (no radio), but please don't bake amazon, titanium, or wave secure in with the rom. I don't ever use them and would like to save some room for a couple apps. Thanks guys! Guest mlemonds Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 just installed the new rom. was thinking about switching off the usb debugging, i think i remember that eating battery life in earlier roms.
Guest jackjelinek Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Anyone know when the prebakes will be available?
Guest wdfowty Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 +1 lol, no one doesn't have $15 I think that's a very incorrect conclusion...I personally have NO money to spend after phone bills and other expenses.

Agreed. Some people seem to have disposable income, however, I am not one of them. Every penny I get goes to rent, bills, gas, and other living expenses. If I had the money to donate for Paul's hard work, I would definitely do it. Don't sweat it though guys.. I didn't realize that asking politely for someone to quickly bake me a copy was a big deal. I'll just wait for the official release or the pre-bakes. Thanks. Edited July 21, 2010 by MidnightSlide

Sorry man, I realize not everyone has the cash, not trying to put you down, honestly. It was more on how specific of a "favor" you were asking. Anyway, I think Paul likes to track download stats and giving out links and zips will disrupt this.
Guest mudrock1000 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Just curious...does this transmit as well? because I think that would be great if I could listen to my music in the car.

It is pretty embarrassing that I can't afford it, but life does go on. lol. Thanks for the information.
Guest Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Besides, you might as well wait for things to be a bit more usable, this IS a work-in-progress after all, heck it's mostly FRF83 as opposed to FRF91 as in the newest MCR for Desire. So if you wait just a bit more for the final r23 with the prebakes, you'll get a better deal than us beta-testers
Guest KenAnthony Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Does any one know of a OC-UV kernel that would work on this Rom?
Guest xplod420 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 Paul is doing a great job, but i fear that this might follow the other Desire port path. BT will not be fixed, and battery life will be disappointing. But hopefully i will be wrong, and this will be a stable good ROM. Waiting for prebaked
