official HongKong ROM, last year. this is the ROM that they had on their phones, when they started selling i8000. u can check Previa's early thread about ROM versions too. also thats the ROM that i had on mine when i bought my phone in China  so, u can flash anything u want, just like me! :D

p.s. i flashed to DXIG7 (Singapore ROM) right after i bought it, thanks to Previa's ROM links and guide. ;)

I downloaded JF5 ROM WM6.5 with these files:

CSC_I8000NXXJF4.CSC

Eboot_I8000NXXJF5_HW_40.eb0

PDA_I8000NXXJF5_HW_40.MST

Phone_I8000XXJF1.bin

and my phone have this:

PDA: I8000HZHIG4

CSC: I8000HBRIIG4

Phone: I8000XXIG6

So what files I need to flash? With No risk:-) And I hope that "Unlocked" on eBay means that it has never been locked:-)

read this, before you do anything. if you are able to use it in Czech, then it is unlocked. feel free to ask questions.

u just need to flash pda part :(

be very carefull if u flash the eboot, u might brick ur phone! be sure u have no other USB (other than i8000) connected and that u have enough battery in your phone (50% should be more than enough). also it's safer to flash with laptop (just in case the power in your home goes down :P).

phone part isn't necessary at all, unless u aren't happy with yours.

csc, in my opinion isn't necessary either if you are happy with the one u have (if it automatically detects your SIM card and so on)

i only flashed eboot with 6.5.x roms, to get more 5mb RAM (with 6.5 this isn't the case.. please someone correct me if i'm wrong)

CSC i'm using an old one (JC1) because it's the one that detects my SIM. for my country it's a TPH (portugal) CSC, don't know about yours :(

if u flash only pda u won't brick your phone.. u can go further when u are more confident :P

hope this helps

cheers
