Paul,

I found another oddity, I just set up my home screens and saved my scene but now the new scene is gone and I am back to the initial homescreen set up. Any ideas please?

David

No mobile network connectivity with Orange UK r8-RC1 (was/is fine in earlier r8-WIP)?

I had this problem but all I did in the end was leave it and it started working eventually. I flashed it about 5.30pm and mobile data didn't work at all until about 1am...Strange. Has been fine all morning now so I think it is alright.

Am I the only one, or Current Location in Weather is not working? Just cleared all the Weather related data, but still nothing.

Paul,

I am using r5 ROM and with ROM manager I flashed Superuser 2.3.1 ef (eclair/froyo) version.

Who knows why? :D

The result is lack of su access and I can't reflash old backup lacking of su access. Good huh?

What should I do?

Reroot the device or just reflash r5 / r8 or any other ROM?

Hello guys

I baked this ROM using the "WiFi N enabled" is there any way of reverting back to the normal without a reinstall ?

many thanks Paul for this ROM - it is the first I have tried and liked - well worth the £10 investment :D

The HTC Clock/Weather widget never worked for me so I always remove it and add FancyWidget - same look but stock clock/weather widget location never fails...

Would it be possible to get a reboot and/or reboot to recovery options when pressing the power button ?

thanks again

You could try Quick Boot that is available on the market, you can reboot or boot into Recovery and Bootloader.

No mobile network connectivity with Orange UK r8-RC1 (was/is fine in earlier r8-WIP)?

Has anyone else experienced problems with mobile network connectivity with rc8-RC1 on Orange UK? I flashed r8-RC1 yesterday without a wipe after using an earlier r8-WIP without any issues and found that I couldn't get any mobile network connectivity, though wifi was fine. The APN was definitely ticked :D The only difference I could see in the settings between WIP and RC1 was that the APN type had gone from "default" to "default, supl" but editing it back made no difference.

Restoring the backup of r8-WIP immediately restored mobile network connectivity.

Plan B is to wipe and try it, but I'd prefer not to take such drastic action......

Orange UK 3G went down last night, called a friend who told me that they were aware and were on the case.

It was back up by about 1am (in Bristol anyway).

Also can anyone confirm if contact search in the stock contacts app now works? Someone else reported this issue so it isn't just me.

I don't select to add the Android Launcher2 Launcher, but it appears in the ROM.

Noticed that too, I just remove it before flashing

I had a similar problem after flashing TO r5. The error was returned by Titanium Backup.

I solved it by selecting the 'Problems'' tab in TB which downloaded the latest version of Busybox from the ROM. After that all was fine.

Still not working for me but even not working I far prefer it to the People app especially with the Android keyboard.

I agree, it's far better looking than HTCs ugly POS :D

It's just annoying having to scroll through my contacts to find the one I need.
