I think wifi tethering may not be working. I am able to connect to the device, but no internet connection. I am still able to browse the web on the device, so the phone is getting mobile internet.

Hi Paul.

Any plans to put the wi-fi Wireless N fix in to, because as I understand it, it's not part of the base ROM, it needs a 'patch' to enable Wireless N...?

Oh and could you clarify the wording underneath the option for the Messaging Application. I am unclear from the wording whether this would include Stock Messaging App, omit Stock messaging app or is needed in order to replace the stock app with the HTC Messaging version Paul. Have a look, you'll see what I mean.

Ermmm ... While logged in hit 'My Controls' at top of page, look over to the left and down 'edit avatar settings' , browse for an image to upload from your machine .. voila!

Came from 3.1, did full wipe using rom manager/clockwork, no install issues.

Problem with Friendstream, it says i'm signed into any social networks and to tap screen. I do that and it goes to "settings" screen, but its blank, just the settings header at the top. Any ideas?

(i've got the official twitter app installed and working fine, so not sure why it doesn't come up with my twitter accounts to select)

I didn't choose the facebook option from the kitchen as I didn't want the battery killing 1.3 version installing....... a related problem perhaps? No Facebook?

Also, as I didn't install Facebook option, is there a way to get the facebook sync installed without re-baking and installing over the top?

Paul released his Froyo-version yesterday (I think) and there was a thread with several downloads (odex/deodex with/without radio) of the stock ROM (rooted). Can anyone tell me where these ROMs are now?

it is a backup problem, at least for me, with a clean reinstall with wipes without loading my backup it works as intended, so my fault for backing up gmail data when i alrdy added it i guess...

hm i came from a 2.2 rooted stock rom, ~30mb free, and now with the kitchen version only 17mb free.

any tweaks for more free space?

u dont need to, but it will give u FC on gmail (at least it did FC on mine without wipe)

In older Modaco ROMs it give a possibility to change the Bootscreen.

How can I get an other Bootscreen with the R7 ROM?

after installing R7 i installed the same Circle Battery mod I had been advised to use on R5 (Circle battery-DJD_v1.0_r1-signed) it seemed to work but did not appear on the lockscreen (standard) as it had before and also i suddenly found I could not get data. Can someone suggest a working Circle Battery that won't bork my system?

Flashed from R6 with no wipe - all seems to work fine. Had gmail FC but clear data works as suggested, no problems with handcent/internet. Flashed circle battery mod for r5 and for some reason APN settings disappeared as others reported, have added APN again and works fine. Google contacts sync also working fine for me at the moment.

Basically nothing to report :) always a good thing.

in r5 and r6 i was able rearrange the screens from helicopter view. I cant do this with r7 though. can it be added to the rom or is this something that hTc deemed unnecessary?

I miss that too. Only used it occasionally but it's nice to have.

I installed r7 over r6 with no wipe and all seems to be ok at present apart from the reported Gmail not syncing issue. (oh yeah and it still vibrates at power off!!!)

On another issue, does the new version of HTC Sync work with this for anyone. I've tried it and it's no go for me. (I know the HTC site states it's for Wildfire only, but it's worth a try).
