I miss that too. Only used it occasionally but it's nice to have.

I installed r7 over r6 with no wipe and all seems to be ok at present apart from the reported Gmail not syncing issue. (oh yeah and it still vibrates at power off!!!)

On another issue, does the new version of HTC Sync work with this for anyone. I've tried it and it's no go for me. (I know the HTC site states it's for Wildfire only, but it's worth a try).

it workd to me with r6 so it should work too, but strange coz sometimes works sometimes not :s

Wiped and installed R7 a few hours ago, everything is working great so far... no problems at all... Only noticed little things, nothing major (at least for me):

- I can no longer drag and drop to rearrange the various home screens (when in zoom out view).

- I installed Facebook (didn't include it in the bake) and set it to sync contacts but no photos appear (don't know what they mean by sync... but this may be a Facebook problem unrelated to the ROM)

And I have some questions:

- what's the use of the new Videos app? is it possible to include an option to remove it in the kitchen?

- is it possible to remove google talk? or include an option in the kitchen?

- is the wlan 802.11n?

Great ROM Paul!

i can't remember correctly, but i think under

settings / connect to pc

there is a new option "USB-Anbindung" (USB-Connection?, did not see it before),

if i choose this option, and connect the usb cable to the netbook, the connection manager

on the netbook disables the wireless connection and switches to cable-connection

is this ethernet over usb? or usb thetering?

thanks

Hi Paul.

Any plans to put the wi-fi Wireless N fix in to, because as I understand it, it's not part of the base ROM, it needs a 'patch' to enable Wireless N...?

Oh and could you clarify the wording underneath the option for the Messaging Application. I am unclear from the wording whether this would include Stock Messaging App, omit Stock messaging app or is needed in order to replace the stock app with the HTC Messaging version Paul. Have a look, you'll see what I mean.

Cheers mate.

Same here.

Did you guys flash over r5/6 ... perhaps try to re-insert the goo' account again!

or did you do a full wipe then flash ... if so did you go through the account set-up again?

Thinking out loud, long shot, but it might fix it :)

Anyone else getting this problem?

after installing R7 i installed the same Circle Battery mod I had been advised to use on R5 (Circle battery-DJD_v1.0_r1-signed) it seemed to work but did not appear on the lockscreen (standard) as it had before and also i suddenly found I could not get data. Can someone suggest a working Circle Battery that won't bork my system?

Yep .. i have used both this .. the r4 version

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...778&page=19

which is supercircle with no funny colours for wifi/sd/hsdpa etc..

or if you prefer the multi-coloured menagerie of a notification rainbow ... then this one will do it:

framework_res_MDC_r5_WIP_color_signed.zip

But ..I think your lack of data is gong to be the APN problem quoted earlier in this thread, you may have to enter it manually!

its fixed, it was my fault, restoring gmail account, calendar and contacts from a previous backup what makes that crash on syncin

Not sure if that is the same problem I had with LeeDroid. I experienced intermittent mobile network disconnections (APNs were all set up properly). I only realize the disconnections when colleagues fed back that emails and gtalk messages were not reaching me.

Restarting mobile network would solve the problem but only for a while. Eventually I moved back to rooted ota22 ROM.

Before flashing R7 I wonder if the same problem exists.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the ROM, was waiting for this to drop.

I was using r5 with A2SD+. I wanted a clean slate so did a wipe on all cache, data and dalvik-cache, but been having a strange problem.

I baked a rom with, Titanium backup, Ad Free, MCR ASE. The flash went on as per normal however it took 5 mins to get past the "htc quietly brilliant" screen, I guess this is where it writes the dalvik-cache. I then installed some apps but noticed that the internal memory was going down when it shouldnt I'm using A2SD+. I decided to partition again using Clockworkmod and setup 512MB Ext3, after reboot again it took 5 mins to get past "htc quietly brilliant" screen but then once loaded into sense I noticed all the apps I baked into the rom (Titanium backup, Ad Free, MCR ASE) and including Rom Manager (manually installed) were then removed. I can see from software settings im still running r7. I thought it could have been a bad flash so totally wiped the SD using linux and started again but same problem twice after fresh flash. The strange thing is however A2SD+ works.

Any ideas?

Also the dev tools fcs on some selections like "Development Settings". Everything else is good.

Thanks

Are we going to be able to enable Nexus One boot screen and Nexus One boot sound (I seem to recall there were such a thing at some point) at some point in this build of the Kitchen when it is no longer WIP? I hope to be able to turn the MCR into what looks to be Nexus One as nearly as possible. I realize that such a thing is way down on priority list up against adding apps and getting a smooth running rom, but is it taken into consideration?

Yes, I can add these no problem, and will do. :)

is 802.11n definitely absent? Hope so, caused me problems ever since I upgraded to FroYo

Oops, I did the patch but must have forgotten to upload it if it's not working? I'll fix this first thing tomorrow.

I have found so far 2 things:

1. Facebook for HTC Sense is missing :|

2. I do have twice the Galery (and one HTC Album) when adding widgets.

besides that AWESOME ROM, even WLAN HotSpot is working

1. Hmmm, it shouldn't be?

2. You baked in Google Gallery 3D, so that's expected behaviour.

Great ROM thanks.

I can't seem to boot into ClockworkMod Recovery from the app. The phone will not reboot. I seem to remember something about a reboot script.

Anyone remember?

Thanks.

I'll fix that in the morning too. :)

I cannot select an APN and there appear to be only two entries in telephony.db. Replacing the database with a good copy from a nandroid backup results in FCs of com.android.phone and a message 'No SIM Card' when I try to change APN.

Help please.

APN fix coming up, something bizarre in the stock ROM i'm fixing!

in r5 and r6 i was able rearrange the screens from helicopter view. I cant do this with r7 though. can it be added to the rom or is this something that hTc deemed unnecessary?

Hmmm, I patched this but yes, it's not working, fix coming up.
