Guest Paul Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Wiped and installed R7 a few hours ago, everything is working great so far... no problems at all... Only noticed little things, nothing major (at least for me): - I can no longer drag and drop to rearrange the various home screens (when in zoom out view). - I installed Facebook (didn't include it in the bake) and set it to sync contacts but no photos appear (don't know what they mean by sync... but this may be a Facebook problem unrelated to the ROM) And I have some questions: - what's the use of the new Videos app? is it possible to include an option to remove it in the kitchen? - is it possible to remove google talk? or include an option in the kitchen? - is the wlan 802.11n? Great ROM Paul! Google Talk HAS to be in there or things break horribly. P
Guest Nicke Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 (edited) Sorry if this has been asked before but is this fix included? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737111 Could 802.11n be a choice in the kitchen? Edited August 5, 2010 by Nicke
Guest lunatic raver Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Anybody knows if openvpn works? I've wiped my former MCR r5 with a working openvpn binary / tun.ko module, so do you know if the tun.ko module is included in this rom? BTW, this froyo update really rocks! Chrome2phone is a really cool & overlooked feature
Guest Paul Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Updated kitchen to add Rosie click-drag and Wifi N compatability. I'd prepared them but just not uploaded them... *smacks forehead* :) P

Guest vvaleta28 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Updated kitchen to add Rosie click-drag and Wifi N compatability. I'd prepared them but just not uploaded them... *smacks forehead* :) P no problems with just install new patched rom without wipes right?
Guest 325i Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 How are others finding the speed? For me its slightly slower than R5 and quadrant scores are confirming this. Im getting around 1190 compared to 1220 on R5. Paul, i got the R7 ROM as soon as it was released, if i bake it again now, will there be any improvements?
Guest Nicke Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 That fix isn't included. Does it work for everyone? Worth including? P Hmm. I dont know really. If i DONT want 802.11n, what do i have to do?
Guest shadamehr Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Gonna hang on and wait for Wireless N support, to save flashing twice in a short space of time, but I think this will be my ROM of Desire, for my Desire, once it has Wireless N. (At which point, yes I know, I will go Mod Plus again)...

Guest hatton920 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Hi Paul, any chance of adding the android stock browser in? I find it much better than the HTC version. Thanks.

Guest Erez Tavor Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 It's included in all builds. P Hi Paul Thanks for you quick reply. (like your work by the way). I am looking for the launcher that looks like the one at the attached photo
Guest brbbX Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Hi Paul Could you add the stock contacts app? thank you
Guest Upquark Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Dear Paul, would it be possible to have an option to in/exclude the HTC gallery? Thanks for all your work.
Guest jns2010 Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 You excluded something important from your bake! :) Excluded almost nothing. Excluded the Facebook app though, wonder whether that left out some syncing components too. Will try a mix with Facebook included tomorrow and report back.
Guest todinamico Posted August 5, 2010 Report Posted August 5, 2010 Hi Paul, I'm pretty new here. Yesterday I got my Desire but I've been reading XDA forums for a little while trying to be updated with everything. I'm very interested in your premium suscription, but I'm not sure because what I want is a light ROM: No stocks, no footprints... I also don't want the Wifi N patch (I've read it drains the battery). When in your kitchen says: Footprints installed to /system partition This option includes the Footprints application and associated widget. If I disable this option, will footprints be installed or not? Or this option is only to select the place to install? And the Wifi N patch... could be optional? Also... You have many options, and the images are too tiny, so I can't see if something will like me or not. For instance... you can select Android or HTC contacts... but I don't know how are each of them. It would be great to have a more descriptive (and bigger) pictures. It's just a suggestion... :). Keep up the great job!! Thanks in advance and congratulations! :D

I am looking for the launcher that looks like the one at the attached photo afaik thats a mod of the sense launcher, its called expressobar (I think). You will find it on the XDA forums. Personally ive used it but it was prebuilt into the rom and its much nicer than the original sense looks Edited August 5, 2010 by Diggedy
