afaik thats a mod of the sense launcher, its called expressobar (I think). You will find it on the XDA forums. Personally ive used it but it was prebuilt into the rom and its much nicer than the original sense looks

Thanks a lot.

Why would you not? It has no negative impacts AFAIK.

P

I can't stream any internet radio stations >128kbps on roms with the wireless n patch (on wi-fi, naturally). When the screen goes idle the connection is throttled and the stream stutters, and with last.fm it just starts skipping tracks endlessly. Initially thought it was Sense causing it but I flashed to a couple of roms without the n patch and everything worked perfectly again.

Is there a way to remove it ourselves? Or make it optional in the kitchen? I cannae live without my last.fm.

I have a weird problem where the clock widget will show the right time but the clock in the top right corner will be one hour behind. Anyone else getting this?

@Paul, I found two graphical glitches which weren't present in your previous builds:

  1. Active tabs in applications are strangely dark, which makes the text hard to read
  2. After selecting an app from the "Recent apps" panel, the icons disappear leaving only application names

P.S. Took me quite a while to take the second one ;-)

Hi Paul,

I'm pretty new here. Yesterday I got my Desire but I've been reading XDA forums for a little while trying to be updated with everything.

I'm very interested in your premium suscription, but I'm not sure because what I want is a light ROM: No stocks, no footprints... I also don't want the Wifi N patch (I've read it drains the battery). When in your kitchen says:

Footprints installed to /system partition

This option includes the Footprints application and associated widget.

If I disable this option, will footprints be installed or not? Or this option is only to select the place to install? And the Wifi N patch... could be optional?

Also... You have many options, and the images are too tiny, so I can't see if something will like me or not. For instance... you can select Android or HTC contacts... but I don't know how are each of them. It would be great to have a more descriptive (and bigger) pictures. It's just a suggestion... :).

Keep up the great job!!

Thanks in advance and congratulations! :D

If you leave a check box empty in the "Kitchen" you choose not to install it, next to the given app name is it´s path on the phone, just to tell you where your app goes if you choose to install it.:D

The thumbnails is just to give an idea of what the app look like, don´t know if Paul will enable it so you can open up a bigger picture thats his call, but if your in doubt about a certain app try hop on youtube and search for android (or maybe htc desire) with the app name attached then you´ll, I guess, be able to find a presentation of the app in question.

Dear Paul,

would it be possible to have an option to in/exclude the HTC gallery?

Thanks for all your work.

I'll look into it, don't see why not, it might cause issues with pressing the gallery button in the camera app etc tho, we'll have to see! :)

Strange, i'll make it a (default on) option then.

this has been coverd several times in this thread ;-)

you got to clear the cache (eventually data too)

go to settings > applications > manage applications > choose the "all apps" tab > go down to google mail, tap on it, and you will see the buttons.

(i have my phone set to german, so i had to "translate" the steps. so if you dont find something with this name, keep looking for something with the same meanig ;-)

Wireless N is done. :)

P

what's the fix for the wireless-n, is it an updatee to the locationapk? is there some update i could manually apply instead of having to download the entire rom again?

edit: nvm did it manually.

Just uploaded for you: http://www.mediafire.com/?ydbz73uvzqjo6qj

Found it somewhere at XDAs, it works!

yikes! that is *not* working properly, not at all! I just installed it over r7 and it's absolutely horrible over it. it must be for something other than a 2.09 ROM build. I'ma gonna have to reinstall the ROM again cos of it. cheers for the effort, but I can't recommend this to anyone.
