Guest qubit76 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) I would like to use APPS2SD+ Can someone please advise what I should choose for a ext partition for this rom? I was thinking about 1gb - do I need to make it EXT2 or EXT3 (which is best) and also, do I need swap space and if so how much? Warmly, Marty Flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=721792 with unrevoked,it will let you partition swap=0 EXT2=512 the rest fat32 then convert ext2 to ext3 Edited August 6, 2010 by qubit76

Guest lomdar Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Ist it possible, that the icon for the "Development Tools" is missing?. The tools are there, I see the "Debugging" message when plug in the usb, but I can't find the icon in the apps section... Sorry, forget it. Seems there is no icon for the Development Tools with Sense... found in the configuration settings. Edited August 6, 2010 by lomdar
Guest Laban Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Thinking about trying the online kitchen but some options are a bit hard to understand. Is there anyway to know if an option i the kitchen is default in the stock ROM? What does the following mean: - Boot Sound - This option restores the boot up sound. If I deselect it does that mean that there will be no (aweful) boot sound? - If I check for example "Titanium backup", will I still be able to upgrade and/or uninstall it later on my phone? - What does "ASE + Scripts" mean, why should I include it? - What is Jbed Java? Thanks in advance!

Guest Zarch1972 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Came from 3.1, did full wipe using rom manager/clockwork, no install issues. Problem with Friendstream, it says i'm signed into any social networks and to tap screen. I do that and it goes to "settings" screen, but its blank, just the settings header at the top. Any ideas? (i've got the official twitter app installed and working fine, so not sure why it doesn't come up with my twitter accounts to select) I didn't choose the facebook option from the kitchen as I didn't want the battery killing 1.3 version installing....... a related problem perhaps? No Facebook? Also, as I didn't install Facebook option, is there a way to get the facebook sync installed without re-baking and installing over the top? Re-Baked adding the Facebook app this time and installed over the top (no wipe) and this has sorted facebook/contact sync. (i think the facebook sync should be mandatory as it screws loads of default functionality if you don't have it) But i'm still having Friendstream problems being unable to select my twitter account (official twitter app isntalled and working, and account sync all fine). Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, any chance of getting a pre-baked r7 with A2SD+ for non-preminum members? Thanks Yes, when r7 is finished. P
Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I included Facebook in the bake and still no pictures are pulled from facebook to the contacts... I'm updating the Facebook package this morning (including Facebook 1.3.1, just released). P
Guest Tone322 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Updated ROM from r5 to r7 without wipe and working well. As discussed in this thread, Gmail works ok after cache reset. Achieves an average Linpack score of 39 MFLOPS. Thanks Paul - Another very nice and stable ROM!!

Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Does anyone else have a permanent sync icon in the notification bar? I have rebooted the phone and turned autosync off yet it is still there. Does not look like it is actually accessing the net though. With this kind of issue, please say what you included / excluded in the bake. P
Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Hey Paul, does this have the Wifi-N patch built in or something? I am trying to find a vanilla copy without wifi-N, and just A2SD. Yes, it does. I will make that optional this morning. P

Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, any chance of getting rid of the vibrate on power off? It just seems odd there's an option not to have the boot sound but this remains. I just find it really annoying. (A bit like me going on about it I guess :) ). The extra HTC widgets don't appear to work (Dice and Coin). I can select them for download and this appears to start but then they don't install. Rameses, just for you, i'll put the 'no vibrate on power off' option in the kitchen this morning. :D I should be able to fix the HTC widgets issue, i'll check it out. P

The programm crashed, when I start them. Where ist the problem? I've create the image with the kitchen. 2. If i deselect the twitter, facebook Programms, does the synch work? I've read in other baords, that the sync w'ont work, if the twitter and facebooks apps are removed. 1. Yes it does. I wonder if you need the latest radio, do you have it? 2. Try it and tell us. :) P

Guest Benjamin120 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 1. Yes it does. I wonder if you need the latest radio, do you have it? 2. Try it and tell us. :) P I have reflash the phone again. Und I used the radio after flashing (bevor titanium backup). And it works. After using titanium backup, the app crashed. So I think, the problem ist titanium backup. I will flash the Desire again und choose each backup personally (not with the batch function)
