Very strange, i've checked the framework and everything looks normal and the Germany day names are in there correctly, I wonder if it's a Froyo compatability issue with the Wetter app itself?

Could you add the functionnality of unlocking the phone by pressing the trackpad ?

By then, people could press the trackpad once to wake up the phone, and pressing a second time to unlock it.

Checked different apps (different waether, clock apps, ...) - with the same problem, so i think its not the app - or at least it is not a single app issue, but of course it could be a froyo-thing as not all apps that display week-names have that problem (e.g. HTC own waether-app is ok.)

And i also found this reported on other forums (german ones) as well.

Ran the ROM all day yesterday and will continue on today. So far, very fast and most importantly stable. I've had some mixed results with some early official Froyo ROMs that were buggy-ish for the most part as people rushed them out. I haven't run into any bugs so far but I've been using just the basics yesterday (aka making a lot of calls, replying to emails and gtalk). Didn't run any benchmarks but ROM feels very snappy™ :) Another great release from Paul. Thanks.

* The battery life seems to be on the low end with this ROM but I need to test properly today as yesterday's usage was higher than usual. Nonetheless, I don't see R7 making it from 7am to 2am the next day on the same charge.

* Any chance we can get the new Gmail in the next update. The one with reply button at the top right next to star? I find that incredibly useful with long emails.

* Option to replace HTC Mail app with Android default would also be great as I prefer the latter over the former.

Never mind, I baked another ROM and this time HTC's Touch Input was included (I must have excluded it accidentally in the previous mix). I noticed that the HTC calendar widget isn't there anymore though. Is this an MCR issue or has HTC removed the cal widget in general?

LauncherPro doesn't seem to be able to display some of the HTC widgets. Not an MCR issue then.

Excluded almost nothing. Excluded the Facebook app though, wonder whether that left out some syncing components too. Will try a mix with Facebook included tomorrow and report back.

A rebake and complete wipe solved the problem.

Can you add the tun module into the kitchen as it is becomming very hard to find a copiled one to match the Kernel.

I'm lucky so far as I have managed to find one for the r5.

T-Mobile block Skype / Voip the only way I can get access to my compainies sip service out side of the office is either via VPN or Wifi.

Is it also possible to and the open vpn binaries to the kitchen to as this can be a bit of a pain to install ( if you can give me details on how to make the upload zip for baking the i can use that option if you can't or won't put it in the kitchen.)

Only $10 (or was it pounds) for access to the best roms out there. Really a bargain.

720p recording is not so good, at playback all of the recorded clips are choppy, or the picture just freeze. Even on my pc.

Sometimes sense just restarts itself, already removed then added back the widgets, but it still restarts by the time.

Yes. This is one of the biggest problems I had. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned it before. But I think this is to do with the SD card. Try a different and maybe smaller SD card and check if the results are the same

it could be, as im still using the card which one came with my desire (its a class 2 if im right). later ill buy a 32gb class 6 or 10 sd.

Just a general question..

When updating an existing rom with APPS2SD+ (like modaco WIP R6) without wiping. Is is needed to select APPS2SD+ from the kitchen again or will the APPS2SD+ still be there even if it is not selected?

What about other apps/settings previously selected from the kitchen, will they still be there after an update without wiping if not selected in a new bake?

Would it also be possible to add an option of putting the phone to sleep by pressing the touchpad ? First press - wake up, second press - sleep ? Otherwise thanks for the great (and stable) ROM.

AFAIK, all apps installed on the phone, not on the SD, will be replaced/removed... so yes, check it to keep it.
