Guest gianton Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 When making a call with my BT headset and Voice Dialing, I can't listen the sound from my BT headset only from the device's headphone. Anyone else noticed that?

Guest dunbad Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Ok, stupid noon question time. Tried r6 a few weeks ago and thought it was a great Rom. Anyway, when r7 came out, I tried it without sense. Not too good! And that's with full wipes etc, coming from a different Rom. Tried couple of times, same result. The most unstable Rom I've tried in recent weeks which has been many! Anyone know if its any better now without sense. Now the really stupid bit! With the fixes taking place over time, a full rebake required? Many thanks
Guest jippyJones Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Facebook installed to /system partition This option includes the Facebook application (1.3.0) and the embedded sync support. 'forgot to update that into 1.3.1 :)
Guest Kevin La. Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, why don't you increase the release number ? It hard to follow your updates... We have to follow the changes log instead the version number.
Guest Lokicoon Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) What about these fixes/features: -keyboard Space fix (in Russian layout) -battery with percents -DSPManager (sound enhancer) -FLAC support Edited August 6, 2010 by Lokicoon
Guest sankio Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 In r7 it's present standard Android contacts app? I don't see in the kitchen option, Thanks.
Guest kerosin Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Hello Paul, is tun.ko included in r7 ? Thanks a lot for your work
Guest Erez Tavor Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 yikes! that is *not* working properly, not at all! I just installed it over r7 and it's absolutely horrible over it. it must be for something other than a 2.09 ROM build. I'ma gonna have to reinstall the ROM again cos of it. cheers for the effort, but I can't recommend this to anyone. Try this one. its fixed and working great. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7QK0E5AV
Guest Whiler92 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 This option includes HTC Lock Screen. If you exclude this option, the stock Android Lock Screen will be used. This may affect your ability to use the standard alarm application! I just try... I unchecked this option when I baked my rom in the kitchen... The alarm rings.. I unlock the phone but haven't found whre to switch it off... so I restarted the phone... Is it exactly what the warning is about? or did I miss something to stop it?
Guest gandalfmuaddib Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Does someone have an input on the question quoted? Br, Anders Taking a look into the update-script, it looks like all applications installed to /data/app will be deleted (which is most of the applications that you will currently now have). But, seeing that you enabled A2SD+ in the past, I believe your applications will survive the ROM installation. Applications that are installed to /system will need to be selected to keep them in your new installation though. Why not do a nandroid backup, then flash the new ROM, and see if your applications are still there? Best way to experiment IMHO. Edited August 6, 2010 by gandalfmuaddib

Yes, if you removed the HTC lock screen, you will not be able to switch off the HTC alarm.
Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, why don't you increase the release number ? It hard to follow your updates... We have to follow the changes log instead the version number. Because i'm dropping in little tweaks and fixes all the time, hence a 'work in progress'. P
Guest riverboat2001 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Does anyone else have a permanent sync icon in the notification bar? I have rebooted the phone and turned autosync off yet it is still there. Does not look like it is actually accessing the net though. I had this too, on R6 and now on R7..... Obviously i'm very new to all this, but i found that the answer for me is to turn off "Background Data", then hit Cancel Sync. The problem with this is that Market then won't work without you re-enabling background data. Also i use the "Power Widget" (included in phone) to switch stuff off like wifi and sync when i'm out and about to make my battery last. In the past this all worked fine, but now switching off sync in the power widget makes no difference. So i'm sure it's the background data option causing it.
Guest bhu73 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 With this kind of issue, please say what you included / excluded in the bake. P Would it not be cool if when you bake a rom, it also produced a listing of the options chosen... :-) ( I do a print screen but... )

Thanks to Paul for these nice roms /Anders
Guest Whiler92 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Yes, if you removed the HTC lock screen, you will not be able to switch off the HTC alarm. Thanks for the confirmation :) I just bake a new one... I'll try it in a few moment.
Guest AndrewMe Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 there is a problem with R7 - using HTC IME - when I push SPACE i have an exclamation mark "!" (Russian language). description of such a problem somewhere seen, but now can`t find. can anyone help? this is the global problem of Froyo - Official Russian HTC Team said not to install Froyo untill the problem with keyboard isn't fixed. But anyway, I use HTC IME mod - it works very fine for Froyo, russian as well
Guest Paul Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Would it not be cool if when you bake a rom, it also produced a listing of the options chosen... :-) ( I do a print screen but... ) Next kitchen version puts that in a cookie so when you come back to the (same ROM) kitchen, your options are pre-selected. P

Guest b.lindahl Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, why don't you increase the release number ? It hard to follow your updates... We have to follow the changes log instead the version number. Also, I think it would be a good idea to get informed about updates to the release (which we could choose to subscribe to) and not every update of the thread. Not sure how to do it but I guess a mailing list attached to releases or if the update posts are mirrored to a separate release-thread in the forum (not that uncommon in software forums) that we could subscribe, which is read only to others. Bug-reports and such can go into these threads. Wouldn't that be a good idea?
