Guest V I R U S Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 @Paul, i mailed you about bug in kitchen...
Guest Whiler92 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 FYI, I downloaded a rom from the kitchen 20mn ago, Disable vibrate on shutdown is uncheck... and it doesn't vibrate anymore... it was vibrating with a previous release...
Guest AndrewMe Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Will try to fix russian Keyboard layout today. If i will success, i will share it. Paul might include this fix then. The keyboard under the link above is the most customizable and most comfortalble keyboard with a standard HTC look. imho I use it with russian since 2 week - very good, fast and bugless..
Guest twe Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul I signed up when you were doing the T-Mobile Pulse roms, and now am looking to update my Desire with your release, been waiting patiently for it and the 2.2 update for 7 weeks! Can I hump your leg?

Guest Zarch1972 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 I've think fixed the Friend Stream problem with another over-install of r7. Basically, if you want to use Facebook in Friend Stream you need install FB from the bake menu (which also installs all the underlying facebook sync stuff) And if you want to use your Twitter account in Friend Stream you need to install Peep from the bake menu. Not choosing Peep and then installing any Twitter app will not allow you to use Twitter in Friend Stream. The Twitter app you install afterwards will work on its own, but none of the underlying sync stuff appears to be installed, which must come with Peep. So my advice is to always choose Facebook and Peep for your bakes so that you get all the underlying friend/contacts/sync interaction is correctly installed.
Guest Conz Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Partitioned a new sd with 1gb ext3, no swap and everything else fat32 using the old rooting method Copied the fake flash and an r7-ap2sd+ rom to it. Flashed it and reset. My desire initially came up wtih the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen ...... and remained quietly brilliant for quite some time. Restarted it into the fake flash, wiped everything, same difference. Re-applied the rom zip from within fake-flash, device booted normally.
Guest Benjamin120 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 can I update some specials (for example the gmail app to 2.2.1)? Or do i have to flash the phone again?
Guest Laban Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 can I update some specials (for example the gmail app to 2.2.1)? Or do i have to flash the phone again? That question was answered a few posts back... Download the Gmail apk (link earlier in the thread) and install.
Guest DragosP Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Partitioned a new sd with 1gb ext3, no swap and everything else fat32 using the old rooting method You know, the fat32 partition MUST be first.
Guest V I R U S Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 You know, the fat32 partition MUST be first. i think it doesn't make a sense...

Guest manesha Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Anyone else seeing problems with AdFree in r7 - on both yesterdays and todays update, it doesnt appear to be working. It claims to install the new hosts file ok, but I'm still seeing ads, options selected: - Use 1270.0.1 - symlink from /data/data/hosts
Guest RiotRick Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Still have Problems with the Date Names in German Language, Please Paul fix this, this Realy Sucks. Edit.: Exactly the Same Problem here: http://android.modaco.com/content-page/313...0/#entry1355221 This problem is in the official htc rom as well. Seems like some translations are missing. Names of days and months work fine in english, every other languages displays a number. For example Tue will show up as 3, or Aug will show up as 8. If you use this code: SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("E dd-MM"); String date = formatter.format(new Date()); The android emulator set to dutch will show the string 'zo 01-08' which is correct. If you run this on an htc 2.2 rom set to dutch you will get the string '1 01-08'. If you run in it on the htc 2.2 rom set to english it will show 'sun 01-08', which is also correct. So some translations are still missing in the rom. I've also tried to run this in the opendesire rom. This will show the strings correct. So it seems to be a problem in the htc roms. Some more apps that are affected by this: Aura for EVE Online, ChompSMS, Smooth Calendar. /edit: Smooth Calendar just got an update. It now shows dates correct. Edited August 6, 2010 by RiotRick
Guest spammyspam Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 It seems that each of the apps that came with MCRr5 had auto-update toggled on. IMO it would be good to have them disabled out of the box with this latest rom.
Guest V I R U S Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 There are a lot of bugs in 2.2. Hope update will follow soon.

Guest ourfear Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Next kitchen version puts that in a cookie so when you come back to the (same ROM) kitchen, your options are pre-selected. P please dont use cookie... i download rom at home and office.... not same computer...
Guest elminster13 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Just to say I loaded up the r7 build yesterday and so far so good all seems to be working nicely. The issue I had with the 720p video is fixed, I've started using the trackpad wake only option and that's perfect (the n97 slider unlock is the best hardware implementation I've used yet, although it did fall off after a few months). Thanks for the continued development.
