Guest Joshua Lim Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Paul, Any chance to remove "Learn More" ? Waste a icon space. lols.
Guest reudyfam Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Loving the ROM Paul. Noob question, next bake I'll probably use the A2SD+, does anyone know if ROM Manager changes the partition to Ext2 or Ext3? Thanks.
Guest V I R U S Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Once more, what will Odexation in apps improve? Speed or something else?!
Guest dglockitt Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Yes, but I do not know yours abilities. Boot to recovery, mount /system and remove from /system/app. Looking now in system/app but cannot see any app named "wavesecure" do you know the name of the app? Thanks for your help. Further to above....seeing an app called com.wsandroid.apk could this be it? Edited August 6, 2010 by dglockitt

Noob question, next bake I'll probably use the A2SD+, does anyone know if ROM Manager changes the partition to Ext2 or Ext3? Thanks. I used the Recovery Shell to Partition the SD Card, there are also options to update from ext2 to ext3 (and ext4, dont use that!)
Guest FatherD Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Just did a clean flash with all my usual options .. all went great, even wake on trackpad now works and APN for '3' .. thanks Paul :D Then I applied the r5 version of the supercircle mod with colours over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=301 And .. gone is my APN settings! they were there after the ROM flash and after a first reboot. Any ideas anyone? :)

Guest thebastian Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Feature Request to Paul: Please add Kernel Perflock Disable as Option in the Kitchen. in the ROM i saw at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742371 the creator has disbled the Kernel Perflock permanently. This is awesome because it let us underclock the CPU with SetCPU without disabling the Perflock each reboot. I agree, please make as an Option in the Kitchen. :)

Guest chipyy Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Does anyone have an inkling why I might only be getting about 25 MFlops on this build? I was getting around 40 on other 2.2 builds I've tried!? It's pretty much unmodified from the default options except for adding A2SD+ and wake on trackpad. Also only 11515 on Quadrant where I was getting ~1200 before. I'm not particularly a benchmark whore but the Linpack score seems particularly low. edit: Huh, back up to 40. Guess it was doing something in the background. Ignore me! Edited August 6, 2010 by chipyy
Guest DariWari Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 yep, same here! I guess we have to wait for a supercircle battery update? Super Circle Battery_r5_WIP is working for me..... :)
Guest m1m1987 Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 If you want to odex /system/app, download this file, extract it to a directory, then from a command prompt above that directory do: adb push odex /data/odex adb shell /data/odex/odex.sh ... wait for reboot to recovery, then enter fake-flash recovery ... adb shell mount /system adb shell mount /sdcard adb shell cp /sdcard/odex/* /system/app reboot I'd advise backing up first, but interested to hear your results. Working fine here. P Getting a lot of Package ... has no signatures that match those in shared user ignoring! errors during boot loops.
Guest manicyaz Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Hi guys, Just installed the R7 Rom and everything works great (thanks Paul!). Sorry if this is off topic, but I have a quick question on applications and the auto update process. I have the automatic updates box checked on all several of my apps. However when i check my downloads in the market once again i see some which have updates available. How long does it take for the auto updates to kick in. could it be that restoring apps using Titanium has an effect on this? Thank you!
Guest gubacsek Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 First of all: thank You Paul for all these nice roms! Please keep up the good work! I will be a little bit off-topic, but i didn't got any answer for my "problem" anywhere else. I just installed bash, so i can use bash completition with adb, and i would like to be able to use it on my phone, with a terminal app, but there is no "tab" key in the terminal emulator. In android terminal, i can set the trackpad, to act az a "ctrl", but there is no option for a "tab". Does someone know a terminal app, that can have "tab" ? Please help me :) i googled but didn't found anything....
Guest Diggedy Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 yep, same here! I guess we have to wait for a supercircle battery update? there is a super circle mode for htc 2.2, would this not be the correct one to use now seeing as this is what r7 is based on?
Guest Noonski Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 @Paul, check out Alarm Clock+Dock Plus v2 (to replace Standard Alarm/Dock) It's build from the Stock Alarm clock but with more configurable options. The Developer already said he didn't mind inclusion into kitchens @XDA

Guest bigthunderkid Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 hello all, a bit of a noob question.... I can't seem to find the answer with a forum/thread search (but maybe i'm doing it wrong :) ) If you bake a ROM without Sense UI will you still be able to use HTC Sync on the device? Just want to know before I buy my chefs hat for the kitchen :D uh.... anyone have an answer to this question??
Guest Noonski Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 uh.... anyone have an answer to this question?? Yes HTC Sync will still be included.

Guest Tristan de harde Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Using a custom rom from the beginning, good work! Only i noticed when I'm using my standard browser it's more laggy then previous versions.. When i try to google it a lot more people are experiencing this problem and advising to use for example dolphin browser. Are there more people with the same experience?
Guest Pieronip Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 there is a super circle mode for htc 2.2, would this not be the correct one to use now seeing as this is what r7 is based on? I have the APN problem with the circle battery version I have and I really miss my circle :) Where might I find the 2.2 version to which you refer? Thanks.
Guest smumford Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 there is a super circle mode for htc 2.2, would this not be the correct one to use now seeing as this is what r7 is based on? I think so. That is the one I have used and seems to be working fine with no issues reported.
