Hey Paul

Pls fix it...

Hi,

same issue here! Anyone else? Can you please test it?

Why people don't understand that Paul can't do anything with this? Ask HTC to implement a better sensor. Also, the sensor is waaaay to tiny to produce HD quality videos, no matter it's called 720p, it's simply not. A good HD camcorder costs like a new Desire... Just my two cents...

Yeah, all 720p seems to do is give you a bigger picture to look at when viewing videos made using your desire on your pc. And that's it, the sensor as you have pointed out is still the same size. If you want better video buy a camera not a phone!

This is just marketing, it's so simple. :)

Can somebody, ANYBODY, confirm that they have Vibrate on shutdown working on R7. I have baked and rebaked and I cannot, no matter what i do get this feature to work. I can find no mention of anyone else having the same problem so think i must be going mad. I have even baked roms with Vibrate on shutdown disabled (in case the option was somehow reversed) but got nothing.

Failing a kitchen solution is there a mod i can install that will give me this.

Please help, it's driving me mad.

Edit: Solved by restarting the rooter! :-)

Anyone else having issues with wifi connection?

I baked a test rom yesterday and it worked like a charme. But I forgot to include peep so there were no tweets syncing in friend stream.

So I decided to make a new rom today. The first was without wifi-n support. And as I got no connection to my home network I made a second one with wifi-n enabled. Same result, no connection.

Maybe it´s my network today as all other devices are connected to the rooter via cable. So is it only me having problems since today?

Thanks in advance

Vibrate does not work, even baked in, but doesn't matter for me.

Wifi is working with no problems.

Thanks for responding. Can someone confirm that this is the case, that vibrate doesn't work at all. It may seem like a trivial feature to many of you, but i like the physical confirmation that my phone is off.

Vibrate on shutdown is working for me...

s***!!

ok can you remember what options you chose.

Here is a list of my selected options rather than have to list then all i have rended it in binary a 1 means the item is ticked a 0 means it isnt. The / characters indicate the section breaks . Reading is left to right then down.

11/10111011111/010101001010110000110/1011/1101111/100001/010

maybe its a component related problem (like the alarm/lockscreen thing) and we can find out what you nedd to have for this to work.

One last question. Did you do a full wipe?

Paul, just for clarification, if I was to use my titanium backup of the stock contacts app, would this fail? just wondering why it was omitted in the first place :) cheers

Yeah, it'd fail I believe.

Thanks for that Paul. worked fine.

One minor point though, I had to do a chmod +x on the odex.sh before I could run it.

On Windows you might have to yeah.

I'm quite sure this is a problem with your rom. I've an app that has the same problem with your rom. But when I test the app in the Android emulator with 2.2 it shows the correct day names.

Using the following function to display a date:

public static String formatCalendarToExtDate(Calendar cal) {
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("EEEE, dd. MMMM yyyy");
sdf.setDateFormatSymbols(new DateFormatSymbols(Locale.getDefault()));
return sdf.format(cal.getTime());
}[/code]

So it's likely the HTC ROM base.

Feature Request to Paul:

Please add Kernel Perflock Disable as Option in the Kitchen.

in the ROM i saw at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742371 the creator has disbled the Kernel Perflock permanently.

This is awesome because it let us underclock the CPU with SetCPU without disabling the Perflock each reboot.

Will do.

Paul, while you are here, can you help with the vibrate on shutdown issue.

Does anyone know what exactly is edited/removed for the vibrate on shutdown feature to be removed? I have an earlier r7 that doens't have this removed and I don't want to bake and download another rom so I'm willing to do it manually if anyone can be of help.

Thanks for all the great work Paul.

ye but why do i have to put that in when it is usually done automatically?

Well .. one more than one occasion I have just waited with mobile data enabled and the APN has suddenly come to life! but after applying r4/5 supercircle mod, the APN is lost and does not show up however long I have waited. The 2.2 version posted earlier works perfectly and leaves the APN intact. If you don't want to reflash r7, or try to sort it by flashing with the aforementioned 2.2 mod then you will have to put them in manually! :)

Wow I love that vibrate shut down. Finally I now know when start use power button after shutdown especially if you need go to bootloader.

Look like having little wifi problem like won't back to wifi automatically when back from off the range, but my router are very hot today. I will see more if it is really issue on my phone..

Would you mind if I asked why vibrate on shutdown is so important to you? I'm just curious!

Well .. I think that this 'vibrate on off' feature only appeared in 2.2 ROMs, and to be honest, like most people I didn't like it! I can only think that you are not getting the option 'on' in the kitchen because Paul has left it out accidentally .. he is human after all :D It could however be that you did not do a wipe before flashing with this ROM, if you can live with rebuilding your desktops, apps etc then I would try that first, if you haven't already! :)

I had the same issue today, rebooted the router and it connected immediately without my intervention
