I had the same issue today, rebooted the router and it connected immediately without my intervention

Yeah it is router i think but I only got wireless to test is my desire. My gf got my wifi laptop with her. I dunno if it is wifi router issue or my phone.

It is very common that a free routers from ISP are full of s*** with ton of creamy crap.

I don't really bother much, I can reconnect manually by widget shortcut.

Well .. one more than one occasion I have just waited with mobile data enabled and the APN has suddenly come to life! but after applying r4/5 supercircle mod, the APN is lost and does not show up however long I have waited. The 2.2 version posted earlier works perfectly and leaves the APN intact. If you don't want to reflash r7, or try to sort it by flashing with the aforementioned 2.2 mod then you will have to put them in manually! :)

I noticed the same ... Now i use the rom with out this mod :D can some one help how to fix this isue? or is allready some where a running version of the mod?

Edit: Found on XDA the icon_color_pack + Howto and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=720

now it wokrs Fine here

but i have still one Problem with the rom: in the market i have since 8 hours 5 apps which are trying to update/install but nothig hapens ... is ist something with the rom/desire or is it a market problem today?

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for a great job!!!

Flashed the r7 today with Rom Manager, with no difficulty whatsoever.

For next time, is it possible to include in the ROM database more emergency call numbers i.e. numbers that conform to the EN of different countries?

I tried using 100 in Israel (to see if it works when the phone is locked) but it's not recognized...

Thanks

Shaul

Why people don't understand that Paul can't do anything with this? Ask HTC to implement a better sensor. Also, the sensor is waaaay to tiny to produce HD quality videos, no matter it's called 720p, it's simply not. A good HD camcorder costs like a new Desire... Just my two cents...

Man.... who said it was Paul's fault?

No one said it was Paul's fault. He just making the point that Paul can't do anything about it.

OK I have just done 2 bakes in the kitchen, 1 with Vibrate on shutdown enabled, 1 with it disabled, all other options the same, both are the same size, but have different MD5's, but neither of them vibrates on shutdown. I had previously done 3 different bakes with vibrate on shutdown enabled and none of them vibrated either. Is anyone else getting the vibration or not.

Strange. The feature is in framework.jar, i'm 99% sure I didn't do this wrong, but i'll check it out.

is there a version that works with an odexed /system/app?

i'll hold off for now but i love this customisation, but i desperately need the space that odexing gives me.

See my previous details on how to odex.

was hoping for something easier; perhaps using adb?

adb shell mount /system && rm /system/app/com.wsandroid.apk

(from recovery)

Paul,

Any chance to remove "Learn More" ?

Waste a icon space. lols.

Ah yes, forgot that on this ROM, will do so! :)

@Paul, check out Alarm Clock+Dock Plus v2 (to replace Standard Alarm/Dock)

It's build from the Stock Alarm clock but with more configurable options.

The Developer already said he didn't mind inclusion into kitchens @XDA

Cool, will check it out.

Why its deodexed? =(

Want to use APP2SD instead of APP2SD+........

Your ROM´s always was odexed.... =(

Thanks anway =) Greatest ROM ever.

Because people seemed to want that! Soon you will be able to choose...

I odexed and it works fine, but when I use this altered expressobar it doesn't seem to work. I get a blank page after unlocking the phone and the default android launcher is in place instead of the new expressobar. this works fine when it's not been odexed so i can only assume there's some sort of incompatiblity with the odexing. if that makes sense.

Paul I'm missing something here can you explain the benefits of ODEX and DEODEX.

In simple terms such as performance space etc.

I know this is a nooob question but i realy can't finde a good example of both.

ok, strange one. I baked I think the newest version, and I lost my APN details. I installed APN Backup & Restore, then they came back and mobile internet worked again. after that, I installed one of the mods for new icons from XDA and then lost the unlock ability of the home key. tbh, I wouldn't recommend any user any of the theme-y additions on this ROM for the moment, they all need tweaking again, since the 2.09 builds.

On mine it works "out of the box" with no problems at all.

Can't get my computer to 'see' my Desire when plugged in via usb, still makes the connection noise though. Anyone else with this or a solution?

are you trying to connect via adb? make sure you turn on USB debugging in settings -> applications -> development

Changelog

r7 WIP 09:45 06/Aug

  • APN error fix (you probably haven't noticed this) :)
  • Option to disable 802.11N in the kitchen
  • Option to disable vibrate-on-power-off in the kitchen
  • Facebook 1.3.1
  • Additional fixes discussed in topic
    • Completely r ebased on official Froyo release (2.09.405.8)

    r6 WIP 12:00 23/Jul

[*]Now includes standard Android contacts app as an option

[*]Additional Trackball Wake option (now has a dedicated group in the kitchen)

[*]Changes to Rosie to allow compatability with HTC provided widgets (hopefully)

Understand it's your party and everything, but a lot of your payed supporters, including me, are looking for some love for the Nexus Desire project. We are still stuck on the old version. Seems like you spend more time responding to this thread without a word in the Nexus thread for awhile. When can we expect an update r23?

Sell nexus, buy desire. Then you will be more happy :) And stop complaining, it can't help at all.

This desire Rom is still in WIP. You will need stable finish Desire Rom before porting on Nexus. You have to wait little longer.

im pretty sure i got this in a previous build. what have you left out?

just htc stocks, teeter, wether/news, google maps (loaded it from the market later) and all the "android" stuff that replaces "htc stuff" - so trying to keep it as close as possible to the standard - less the bloat stuff..

also left off the startup noise, shutdown vibrate, and wifi-N

I did also add aps2sd+ in the bake and the power/trackball wake

Last post for today:

.. or the observations of a whining poster! :P

r7 is a peach of a ROM, nice and stable :D

circle battery mods can be a pit of a pig :D

APNs can disappear like little butterflies :D

this one works & has no funny colours: framework_res_HTC_2.2_signed.zip :)

beer makes my posts full of funny colours .. hic! :P

edit: But seriously; if anyone could work up a framework with supercircle 'version C' I would be very greatful, the icons are beautiful

Works fine for me, I had just switched over from the latest leedroid release which it works on straight away but I did do a full wipe so I don't think that should make any difference.
