Guest Arty Marty Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Still geting errors with android.process.acore (has stopped etc) just randomly coming up when I am doing nothing inparticular... I am thinking it could be the supercircle battery mod... didnt see it before that... Interesting thing is: that if I nand backup my phone, do a clear of all the caches etc, and reflash, the supercircle mod is gone, but as soon as I do a nand restore, its back... How is that part of the nand backup? now I cant get rid of the bloody thing. I thought that supercircle just inserted itsself into the rom when you install it from recovery mode, and that namd backup doesent back that part up (or how else could you reflash a new rom without starting over?) :) Bit of a newbie - so any help would be appreciated. A tip for everyone, Also found that if you flash the supercircle at the same time as the rom, you get a boot loop on restart - you have to flash the rom, reboot and then supercircle. ... but I suspect that supercircle has an issue...
Guest KPEMEHb Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 After I installed the new r7 (without 811n, near vanilla - without any additional software, only A2SD+ and some stock apps) i noticed: 1. WiFi icon is always in "full on" state 2. CPU frequency is always over 700MHz Possibly, it is the reason of the battery drain?

I think the only mention of battery drain has been linked with the facebook app.
Guest Golgo Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) There does seem to be some overall higher battery drain in r7 compared to r5 which I upgraded from. It's not "massive" though, not for me at least. I don't think it's FBs fault since it doesn't even show up in the usage statistics. Besides that, this is a great ROM. Cudos, Paul! Guest Whiler92 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Strange, but any circle battery mods (including the above) kills my APN. (©klutsh) may be help for someone. Definitely! Thanks a lot! Cheers, W.
Guest Arty Marty Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 hmm just burnt a new rom, without excluding anything that is "standard" different sd card, (did all the clears of cache etc before) and still getting "The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Pease try again " no super circle to blame either.... and it just happens at random times, if I hit OK everything keeps working... any ideas?
Guest Attitudes Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 The R7 is running rly good, but when i woke up today my phone was out of battery.......gona see if i can find out what is doing this massive drain (fb 1.3.1 installed)
Guest FatherD Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Installing circle battery mod causes r7 to reboot loop (when wifi or 3g connects). This issue occurs with both: framework-res-signed.zip and framework_res_HTC_2.2_signed.zip from earlier in this thread. I certainly had the APN issue with all of these except framework_res_HTC_2.2_signed.zip But I have a theory as to why this particular one worked: I re-flashed r7 (the same one I was running at the time), rebooted, the APN had returned, then applied the mod .. the APN remained intact. Hope this helps guys :)

As an aside, the HTC Widgets problem still exists, anyone have any idea how to download HTC's content instead of getting the Unable to Download message?

Did you flash the framework straight after flashing the ROM?, this might cause the loop, a reboot between seems to be the safest practice!
Guest rameses Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 As an aside, the HTC Widgets problem still exists, anyone have any idea how to download HTC's content instead of getting the Unable to Download message? Same here. The widgets (dice and coin) appear to download but then don't install. I've search the phone and can't find where they're downloaded to soI suspect they're not actually being saved.

I don't even get that far, I select "get more htc widgets" and constantly get an "Unable to download widgets. Tap to try again" message. No amount of tapping brings up anything different. Frustrating!

Mine was fully charged this morning, talked 1 time for 5 minutes, sent 3 text messages and used market once. Now (7 hours later) I'm at 61%
Guest m1m1987 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Because people seemed to want that! Soon you will be able to choose... P When can we expect the feature to choose between odexed / deodexed ?

I have this too, seems to be something to do with syncing for me as the sync icon comes up after the acore error
Guest scotch whisky Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 (edited) I have no problems with this release. I have downloaded and installed the HTC Widgets "coin flip" "dice" and "notes". They all work perfectly. I completely wiped the SD card and recreated an "ext3" partition using the "Amon-RA recovery" prior to loading this ROM. I am using A2SD+. I have also installed " framework_res_HTC_2.2_signed.zip" for the "circle" battery. Edited August 7, 2010 by scotch whisky
Guest Handymeister Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Hello, yesterday I flashed the second r7 release (with wipe) - the actuall radio image was already on the phone. But now I have problems with the mobile internet connection. Sometimes I see "3G" but no connection, some seconds before it was fine! Switching the airplane-mode on and off makes it works again ... Has anyone an idea for me to fix this problem please? Thanx Handymeister

Same here - randomly appearing acore errors, pretty standard ROM baked with no mods and very little removed (stocks & sim toolkit). Would appreciate any solutions / ideas. Karl
Guest woti17 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Anyone knows how to edit sense in order to have less screens than 7? if thats possible, than maybe i can get more than 7 too? i am running out of space and switching scenes isn't too comfartable :)
Guest Anamnesia Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 When I use an adapter with my card i can get 17MB /sec transfer rates with a class 10 card, but when connected USB to the phone, I only get 2MB /sec. Note: I have varying results with my class 10 sdhc card, but this seems more to be a factor of my notebook O/S, than the Desire, although I am yet to test FroYo Ian transfer rates. If your O/S is fresh, you get faster transfer rates!
Guest beady_uk Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Does this rom include support/codecs for playing additional videos and music than the stock sense 2.2. For example avi and wmv. I have seen this included in another Rom , think it was leedroid and thought it would be useful. If not maybe a codec pack could be included as a kitchen option? Thanks Anybody know?
Guest tetris15 Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Titanium Backup says he can't acquire root privileges, however the phone IS rooted and other apps needing it are working (I can also su in a terminal...). Additional HTC widgets are also not downloading. Anyone has similar problems?

Guest SatanicAngel Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 Sorry if I am being noob, but I am new here.. May I know if I flash this will I get native chinese support? This includes: 1: Read chinese sms 2: Type chinese sms 3: Use chinese applications/games Sorry if I asked a question that is too simple, but this is important to me as I am a Malaysian, using Chinese quite frequently, so it is important to me. Thanks a lot.
