Guest sinkingfish Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 LOVE IT. Will that apply to en-ie Ireland too ?
Guest Muskie Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Any chance of sharing that code so I can add it to T-Mod's en_AU? (you'll get attributed of course!)
Guest Paul Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 LOVE IT. Will that apply to en-ie Ireland too ? No actually, easy enough to add en-ie too tho! :) P
Guest WillKW Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Just installed - no problems at all once I cleared my cache (using clockwork mod installed via unrevoked) and rebooted the device a couple of times. But - the one problem I have is that friendstream is installed, but there is no widget! Is this a standard thing for people, or just me? (Regular friendstream works and I have peep and facebook installed) PS: I bought adfree for a year just to access this build - well worth the money I paid for it, thank you very much!
Guest Rocky7 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Brilliant ... if only the damn Americans had taken a dictionary on the Mayflower then we would not have any of this color, tire, trunk, hood, sidewalk rubbish.
Guest Paul Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Any chance of sharing that code so I can add it to T-Mod's en_AU? (you'll get attributed of course!) Just grab it when I post it. :) P
Guest vfrvulcan Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 @Paul - Did you mean to refer to this as r8 WIP in message #3 changelog? If so, shouldn't it be in a new thread and the kitchen title being r8 as well? Keep up the good work! Aaron
Guest EddyOS Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) I'm guessing that's the new update (whenever it's ready) Edited August 10, 2010 by EddyOS

Guest LouiS22 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Just grab it when I post it. :) P Paul, the kitchen still gives r7 in the filename, though i think it's r8 now.
Guest HearThatVoiceAgain Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Will the Torch also be made of Aluminium?
Guest David Szabo Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Love the torch update! :) Downloading now. Thanks for all your hard work!
Guest OneCheekyDevil Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Some of you need to learn what the word "patience" means. The reason why its taking Paul so long to release the next version, is because he wants to squish as many bugs as he can before uploading. Paul has a reputation of releasing solid ROMs, and he's not going to jeapordise it because some of you just cant wait. When he's ready, he'll upload his latest ROM. BTW, what's taking so long Paul? Some of these guys are going to break their F5 key :)
Guest daniozzo83 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi Paul, R8 fix battery drain? another thing, i heard htc release a new OTA version for 2.09.405.8 but different from this(it's so unusual they release without modifying release number) with some improvements(like no battery drain)... do you know?
Guest le_lutin Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi Paul, R8 fix battery drain? another thing, i heard htc release a new OTA version for 2.09.405.8 but different from this(it's so unusual they release without modifying release number) with some improvements(like no battery drain)... do you know? What battery drain? I don't have any (abnormal) battery drain.
Guest daniozzo83 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 lucky :) i have it with normal battery and with extended(2600mah) battery too..... no background software tried with wipe too...
Guest Kevin La. Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 What battery drain? I don't have any (abnormal) battery drain. No battery drain for me either. Starting 8:00am at 100% : - 30 minutes GPS usage - 2 minutes call - 18 sms - Few minutes WWW - A little playing with LockBot (a lockscreen manager) It's 2:00pm. Battery is 83%. PS : SetCPU is running.
Guest venturerider Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Does this build have the Automatic setting for brightness in the Power Control widget? It's not there in the very first (odexed) 2.09.405.8 build that Paul put up.
Guest gandalfmuaddib Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Will the Torch also be made of Aluminium? I see what you did there... :) Anyway, re: battery issue, might it be due to Facebook not fixing their partial wake lock in their app properly? Or has that been completely rectified? I don't have it here and my battery life seems pretty standard (for a 2.2 ROM)...

Guest EddyOS Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Also, a little bump for editing the default.xml file in /system/customize/CID - could do it in the old leaked r5 ROM so that it doesn't show Flickr in the setup wizard (as I remove it from the ROM) - can't do it in this ROM as the default.xml file is different...anyone know how to do this? Edited August 10, 2010 by EddyOS
