And ditto on kitchen failure :)

Hello Paul, I would like to ask you if you are aware of old fashioned way App2SD FAT partition corruption issue and do you have any idea if this is fixable in predictable future?

two quick questions.

With the underlying changes is it ok to flash straight over the top of r7

and is there any detrimental effects to battery or system performance adding the vpn option?

great release!

just one quick question: when will the stable version get released? because i'm on r5, which is super stable and works great, and I wanted to know if I should upgrade to this r7 WIP for the official htc froyo or if it's better to wait for the stable release. thank you! and keep up the great work

You can Build the latest release in the Kitchen. ( You need to have rooted your phone read the main Deisre forum about the process. )

Perflock is for setting the CPU frquency this allows you to under clock the desire to eak more battery life out of it.

If your not sure about OPENVPN the the simple answer is you probabbly dont need it. :)

R7 has been renamed R8 and contains a few bug fixes etc. Those of us waiting for a stable R7/8 prebake will have to wait a bit longer which is fine by me. My R5 is working well for now.

Sorry, I'm going to ask again:

Does the Power Control widget in r8 have the "Automatic" mode in the brightness toggle switch?

I though it was a 2.2 feature, but I don't have it in the ROM I'm currently running.

stock android contact app isn't there after i've selected it in the kitchen :)

i'm going to try and wipe everything and re-flash it

if it fails, i'm going to bed as its past 2am and i need to get up for work in a few hours

hopefully it can be resolved before work
