Guest christonge Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Most propably Paul has Symlinked it to \Data\local. So you can add your own more easily. Yeah as I said it's not a big deal... just suprised me when it booted :)
Guest shadamehr Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 No, I just this minute fixed that, it's probably the cause of the gmail crash mentioned above. P Probably explains mine too then *lol* Ok - other issues I am having after a Full Wipe Install though: 1) News and Weather is still showing, even though I never ticked it. 2) Will absolutely have to do a ROM re-bake when I get home, as Gmail doesn't work at all even after re-boots, possibly due to the error you know about. 3) Contacts (the stock version) is indeed there after a WIPE install, BUT there is a big problem... when I create Contacts and save them, they are not there - it tells me it is empty no matter what i do, or reboot and try.. Additionally, the 'identifier' for it, i.e. "Create contact under account..." lists "Weather (phone-only (unsynced), or Google (once an account is added). So not sure why it is using the Weather tag, instead of whatever the Stock Contacts tag should be. EDIT for number 3 - with the Stock Contacts being wrongly tagged as "Weather" it is necessary to go into the "View Options" menu and actually select this "Weather" contacts list as it were, in order to show them! 4) HTC Sense Widgets ARE now there and listed after Wipe Install. But of course, after I do a Titanium Restore, this is going to no doubt turn these extra widgets, inot the corrupt Widgets I had in my list, thatyou may recall I posted a screenshot about. But that's a personal issue/error. Just to confirm the widgets ARE there after a Wipe install Paul. 5) Next Edit... I can now get into Gmail - no idea why it's working all of a sudden, but nevertheless I wil lstill be doing a ROm re-bake now you've fixed the dual apk issue.
Guest christonge Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Second flash; 1 Gmail FC gone now :) 2 HTC Wallpapers missing from main screen menu

Guest vfrvulcan Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi Folks for all who don't Know, there is a New Version of Super Circle Battery build by the Devs. Thanks! Wish this was in the kitchen.
Guest Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) Wiped, re-installed, everything is great, even seems a bit faster and more responsive. GMail unread count doesn't work with this build tho, I've no idea why. Everything else I baked in is perfect BTW - When you put the HTC bootscreen back in, anyway we can actually keep this default Android one? I prefer it much better than anything else there is! Guest shadamehr Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Can you try deleting Gmail Data in Settings >> Application >> Manage >> All Apps? Scrap that, you whiped :) Perhaps he's using one of the earlier bakes (like me, stuck at work now), that contained TWO gmail.apk files, and therefore somehow Gmail Unread Message Counter is having issues related to it. I too cannot get Gmail Unread Message Counter to work, but I know Ihave an earlier bake with the erroneuos duplicate gmail apk files in. So I can't test until back home and can re-downlaod a clean new Bake. Could be...?

Although I don't wanna wipe again so soon, and I also don't want to lose the black Android boot!! :)

You will not need a whipe for this when reflashing. Edited August 10, 2010 by Noonski

Guest shadamehr Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Apols if slightly OT, but anyone know where i can get the latest Foursquare .apk file from, so I cna bake it in...? In fact there are a few apk files i'd like to bake in. Is there any way to 'pull' them from my phone...?
Guest Noonski Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) I have 2.3-ef installed correctly in baked Rom. isn't that the latest then? Refresh kitchen or do a whipe. Edited August 10, 2010 by Noonski
Guest Paul Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 'adb shell ls /data/app' will show you the APK files, the 'adb pull' the filename. P
Guest rameses Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 (edited) My torch is still a flashlight. (Not that it matters). The HTC extra widgets (Dice etc) show as being installed on the widget list, but I'm unable to select any of them to add to the home screen. Edited August 10, 2010 by rameses
Guest djtosh Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hi all these bugs ppl have posted is confusing me, is this rom usable?
Guest Noonski Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 'adb shell ls /data/app' will show you the APK files, the 'adb pull' the filename. P Is there any way of pulling this from the SD-ext or does the same command apply?

It should show as Flashlight for en-US, Torch for anything else en-*. P

Guest Loozaa Posted August 10, 2010 Report Posted August 10, 2010 Hiho Is there a way renaming the Flashlight/Torch.apk for de-DE from "Blitzlicht" (which means a kind of flash for making photos) to "Taschenlampe"? Hmm... Slightly OT but Paul has build in a change for en-XY areas into kitchen. Loozaa
