Rooting help :(

Hi

I'm after some help rooting my Pulse Mini. Got it this morning to replace the rubbish mobile I've been given by work and to have a play :(

The phone (brand new) came unlocked and I've successfully used it on Vodafone :(

I think I've rooted the phone (it's not that difficult) but I'm failing trying to flash a standard ROM before using one of the customer ROM's developed here.

I'm following the steps in this post but when I reboot holding the keys down, I get a message "Firmware update Step 1/2 Unpacking" then a progress bar and underneath an ! in a yellow triangle and "Update Failed"

What have I done wrong ? Has the rooting failed ?

ok forget that flashing of a standard rom.

It's no longer neccessary :-)

try my r3 custom now
