Hi,

anyone tried projecting the screen of omnia 2? i tried it and it's very satisfactory but room must be dark. Quality is very clear. All you need is a small box 2x the length of the omnia 2, a mirror tilted at 45 degrees and a magnifying lens or glass. try it yourself its fun. Google is your friend if you need help

cheers

No mirrors, the hole in front is for the lens and the hole by the side is to slot in my phone, slot it in upside down to get the right image. The width of the box is exactly the length of the phone. Found a way to make it as bright as some market projectors by using TCPMP to adjust the brightness and contrast.

cheers

hi,

All you need is a box like the picture above i don't have an extra phone to make the video sorry. Make the above box first and you will figure it out naturally. Remember the magnifying lens/glass for the front. The new samsung beam got a builtin projector but i'll stick with this as it cost almost nothing to make.

You can try this it's almost similar but as i don't use mirror i just slot it in rather than laying it on top in this video. I figure the quality is better without the mirror.

cheers

hmmm about pico projector...

I have an LG Expo with Pico projector... and the projector is great

Here's 10 inches

DSCN0494.jpg

And here's 80 inches

DSCN0495.jpg.

I do wonder if the pico projector could work in my b7610. The projector is powered by expo's battery which is nearly as same capacity with B7610 and i8000. The problem is, there are naked flat wires in the back of expo that connects to the pico (2 sets: one set gives power to the pico projector and another set that receives the signal, may be same as the signal that comes out from TV-out?).

I want to try experimenting it but i'm afraid that a wrong move would short circuit the pico :(

Hi,

roughly 3 inches away from lens but you have to adjust yourself to get the right quality and also your lens flip it over and try. Use tcpmp to adjust the brightness up and then contrast too.

well i have got a bigger image but the color quality fades like anything . i have adjusted the color and brightness. also at small size the quality is good but at large it gets ugly. i am now using a binocular lens .

which lens should be use objective or subjective

means the lens near the eye or away from eye.

i am presently using away from eye lens.

can we add two lens or mirrors or some arrangement to increase the quality of the image .

is there way to increase the brightness,

well which values are you using with color .brightness and contrast with the tcmp . i will try same values .

iam currently using a color /saturation as 98%

brightness 70%

and contrast 88%

like this .

but when viewing directly on screen it looks ugly .with uneven colors and all dirty faces

well i have seen many DIY projectors but they make a lcd used as projectors.

well it will be great if we use two lens . like something to even more good images...................

cheers

have a great time

Hi,

you can use those projector guides it's the same concept just that the we already have the source omnia 2 = (lcd + bulb). You should reset your values to 50% and work from there adjusting only brightness and contrast nothing else. Adjust brightness first until u get a very bright source then adjust the contrast till its clear. I use only 1.box 2.lens 3.omnia2, you could try 2 lens if you want the setup should be omnia2 > magnifying glass > lens but you need to keep adjust all 3 till you get a clear picture as i don't know how strong your lens is but seriously 1 lens is enough. Good luck

cheers
