Guest Rajit Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 What is this - AOSP ? I'm a newbie... Can I make "clean" android with all features working? AOSP - Android Open Source Project It basically means taking the source code, which is open sourced by google after every release, and then compiling it for specific devices. You can do it on your own by following the guide, but there are some driver issues right now. Let them get sorted out, and it will be lesser work for you. Or else, you can become a dev yourself and start contributing to getting things working. :(
Guest Vlad Pisarev Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Thanks... I think, it's very hard for me... I want clean android without unusable (for me!) cianogen mods and etc... Edited December 26, 2010 by Vlad Pisarev
Guest Andrea1Liquid Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 (edited) Well Rajit is right and I got it working. Tomorrow I'll release it when it will have the same hw as previous CM_gingerbread release ;) Going to fix the last issues tomorrow...:( Btw, let's stay on topic. When we'll finish to port Gingerbread I will write a guide here, so maybe koudelka will be updating the first post and we'll try to push our changes to the Git of CM7 ;) Edited December 26, 2010 by Andrea1Liquid
Guest studjuice Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 Btw, let's stay on topic. When we'll finish to port Gingerbread I will write a guide here, so maybe koudelka will be updating the first post and we'll try to push our changes to the Git of CM7 ;) That would be awesome. for now the best guide i've found for how to set up stuff is ezterry's in the G1 forums. but I'm having problems, and if I do a repo sync it ends up just kind of getting 'stuck' (continuously doing something, but never moving to the next step). It really sucks, and I left it going all night, so I know it's not the normal amount of time it takes. same thing happened trying to repo sync to koud's post, but got stuck in a different spot.
