Guest cklooi Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I have flashed my galaxy S to JG5 with Odin3. CODE_I9000XWJG5 CSC_I9000OXXJG4 MODEM_I9000XXJG1 I believe the problem is because of the CSC file I used. However, I have installed tons of application in my galaxy S, and it will be very painful if I re-flash my phone and have to setup everything all over again. Any solution to the problem (can't send Chinese sms) without doing the re-flash?? Thanks.

Guest heloman@SGS Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 what do you mean by "can't send"? I am sending Chinese SMS without problem Bro, i am friend of Cklooi and we are using the same handset of SGS. What he mean is, he can "send" the sms but phone prompt an error on the "input mode setting" and suggest to set it to "automatic". After he sent the message, the recipient cannot "read". All the recipient got is "?????" in the message which "suppose" to display the Chinese character. hope this clear up.

In Messaging/menu/setting/input mode/ use "unicode" Try and let me know whether it works. I can't even hv Chinese input after flashing JM2
